Hey Tom L. IAC didn't fix it (Code 43)

From : Annonymous

Q: craig@metronet.com wrote my labeling which was colorful was a hurried response. doesnt make it right ... but god damnit everytime the slightest political discussion gets mentioned here there is always some asshole that swings in with the looney leftie bullshit if it happens to put bush in slightest negative light. have you ever considered that perhaps your overly conservative view might be a bit too far to the right and void of reason no of course not. thats because whenever something bad happens the loony lefts hatred kicks into full swing at blaming bush for anything and everything they can. have you felt your hatred possibly is a bit too far to the extreme and void of reason no of course not. .

wrote all instructions ive seen re usage of the mopar cc cleaner say to pull the air tube off the tb and spray in the entire contents of the can letting the engine load up but not die. okay... what air tube they surely dont mean the big oval air inlet tube to the air cleaner on top of the tb do they do i remove the air cleaner assy and just spray directly into the tb while trying to hold an idle pointers appreciated thanks i take the air cleaner off the throttle body warm the engine up and keep the engine idling by hand while spraying directly into the throttle body. just as you empty the can leave the engine die. dont worry there wont be a mosquito around when you start it back up. g denny this is kinda a silly thing to do. believe it or not your engine efficency is actually higher with deposits in there due to a higher effective cr ratio. you could use better gas and see some mpg and performance increases or try to clean it out and lower effective cr and keep using that 87 octane sewer gas. to each his own but i think ill keep doing it my old silly way. i cant think of a single way that a carboned up engine will run better than a clean one...even with your higher cr theory. denny .

max dodge wrote wrong. its a constitutional fact. the federal government cannot take charge of a state emergency until asked to do so. yep its called the stafford act. anyone with a functioning brain stem should know that. .

our current leaders are not worried about fixing anything other than fixing the blame on someone else for their own incompetance do you drink and type how else can one explain such a incoherent ignorant statement. you hadnt noticed that there is a huge relief effort for the largest natural disaster that has ever hit our country rod i guess that the truth hurts doesnt it. even now they are saying that we will look toward the situation rather than point fingers which translates into since we cant completely blame anyone else for the piss poor response in this situation lets not investigate it at all. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

try a k&n air filter...and a bottle of lucas fuel system cleaner...your ping may be due to improper fuel/air mixing...and carbon deposits on the valves...hope this helps! big al wrote every 318 or 360 i ave ever owned 3 360s or driven over a dozen pinged a little or in the case of the 2000s and 2001s a lot. i didnt buy a 2000 ram and that was one of the main reason. bdk 2003 hemi ram.. ive only owned two. a 90 and a 92. both pinged until i put colder plugs in. the 92 tows everything and has most of its life. i run 87 in it and it never pings. with the factory plugs it would ping under medium power output. give it more or less throttle and it would quit. al 92 w250 360 5 speed. when you put in colder plug you are in effect retarding the spped of spread of the flame after ignition and reducing engine efficency. you may have think you cured it but your cure is costing you in fuel consumption and give that with today price that better fuel can be bought for a mere 2 or 3% more way would you insist on still using the lowest octane fuel you can buy when mpg gains can more than offset the cost -- posted using the http//www.autoforumz.com interface at authors request articles individually checked for conformance to usenet standards topic url http//www.autoforumz.com/dodge-milage-premium-fuel-ftopict136209.html visit topic url to contact author reg. reqd. report abuse http//www.autoforumz.com/eform.phpp=662055 .

there is no spark retard there is a hundred posts that will warn you of getting a dealer to flash the pcm. this will and has cost about 50% of our horsepower. the engine wont run on less then 89 octane. the flash will retard your spark and you wont have a ping but your cruise will be searching for a gear on the highway because it wont maintain overdrive with so little horsepower. the dealer will not flash it back. anyway that is an easy fix but the real problem is all that heat under the hood. after the 6 years it is really taken a toll. 160thermostat is too cold in the winter is replacing my undersized radiator the real answer .

only ones i would recommend. they are slightly more expensive that some other brands but they are better. i think tom l. will agree with this... lets see. as long as we agree that that list is in no particular order then sure i run a bottle of techron through my v10 every 5-6k miles or so... seems to keep things from gumming up. one of these days im going to buy me one of those lighted borescopes then ill see if i need to run any cc cleaner through my engine. .

i have a 2002 dakota and would like to get copies of the service information associated with recalls c35 wiring harness and d47 upper ball joints. the local dealer which i shall not name keeps bugging me to schedule service on these recalls but there is no way i am going to let them work on my truck because i know from past experience that they do poor work. everything i have ever had done there i had to later redo myself. no exceptions. so i would prefer to pay for the parts do it right the first time and skip the bs and possibility of them butchering something else. are there tsbs or similar documents associated with these recalls that explain the work to be done and parts needed if so how can i get copies of them tia. .

amen! im not trying to schlep mopar stuff on the ng but this is the only product that ive known to really work as advertised... most of the other stuff out there is snake oil. insert generic rant about over-priced re-labelled mopar parts here but yeah - the cc cleaner is an exception to the above-referenced rule .

From : Annonymous

there was talk of a recall on all but the pitman and idler arm..if you have to go buy some get the trw lifetime warranty at advance auto parts..then youll be set for 100000 more miles 99 durango 4wd 96k miles 5.9l. recently had upper ball joints replaced and only after few thousands one of them is going again. im not even sure what brand the garage put it... they cant find out themselves. in addition it looks like several joints in steering are going pitman arm joint with center arm is loose and left inner tie rod end is loose as well. those joints probably are responsible for mushy steering feel... any recommendations on quality ubjs that will last looks like pitman arm replacement is major pita since one has to take out whole steering gear - any recommendations on how to do this inner tie rod ends seems easy - is it a good idea to replace both sides although right side seems ok tia peter .

thanks tom. ill look for the cc cleaner tomorrow. im sure the dealer would have it but theyre a little off my beaten trail. hoping to maybe find it at autozone pep boys or oreilly. you need to get this from the dealership... i havent seen this in any aftermarket form and if it did exist id trust the stuff in the mopar can more. i dont usually say this but having used the stuff first-hand i know what it will do. the instructions you found are correct but id add one more step 8 change your spark plugs the cc cleaner will foul them pretty badly - and a set of plugs are cheap. .

lawrence tnloaswpraemnmcien5g@earthlink.net writes do the combustion chamber cleaning.... heres what i found on the web. assume these are the instructions youre referring to. mopar combustion chamber cleaner/conditioner is really good for removing carbon deposits...the following directions outline the way that professional mechanics have been using the cleaner for years -- they were finally published in tsb 18-31-97 for 1996-98 jeep 4.0 liter misfire conditions 1operate the vehicle until the vehicle reaches operating temperature. 2remove the air tube from the throttle body. 3with the engine at an idle spray the entire contents of mopar combustion cleaner p/n 04318001 directly into the throttle body. allow the vehicle to load up with the cleaner to the point of almost stalling out. 4shut the engine off after the entire can is ingested. 5with the hood closed and the vehicle parked inside the garage allow the vehicle to soak for two to three hours. this will ensure that the engine will maintain its temperature and will allow proper solvent penetration. 6drive the vehicle on a highway/freeway that will allow the vehicle to be driven safely at the posted speed limit. upon entering the highway/freeway accelerate hard to the posted speed limit and maintain speed. slow down and then perform 5 to 10 wide open throttle wot upshifts. continue driving at the maximum speed limit for 1-2 miles if conditions allow. 7lastly change your oil. .

the apperance of giving a damn. so diverting af1 and dropping it 30000 feet closer to the earth wasnt enough of course that was part of his delay in getting back to d.c. never mind that hes made two trips to the affected area since then. or that his security would have been in question prior to then. how about the rants he has directed at the oil companies for being totally unable to cope with the demand placed on them by the u.s. mainly because they keep exporting our resources looked to me like he was pissed but hey i dont know the man he could have been joking around. how perceptive of you. except for the need to have an offical residence and headquarters for our president technology has made one helluva difference since the white house was rebuilt in 1814 or so. yes it has but if you really think that it is 100% as effective as him being there then you really are a fool. and you really have no clue what sort of technology surrounds the highest office in the land. if af1 is good enough to command our forces in a nuclear attack its good enough to command the country during a disaster. to claim otherwise is simply talking out your ass. how do you know that the answer is that you dont and this is where the appearance thing comes in. for all i or you know he could have been out fishing while this stuff was going on. i am not saying that he was but there is that appearance thing again. and you really have no clue what sort of technology surrounds the highest office in the land. if af1 is good enough to command our forces in a nuclear attack its good enough to command the country during a disaster. to claim otherwise is simply talking out your ass. bullshit!!!!! while he is president his home is the white house. he is the leader of the most powerful country in the world and much is expected of him. if he cannot handle it he should resign. funny how you expect more of clinton though. and you really have no clue what sort of technology surrounds the highest office in the land. if af1 is good enough to command our forces in a nuclear attack its good enough to command the country during a disaster. to claim otherwise is simply talking out your ass. he did not need to be at the disaster site and i have no problem with the amount of time he took to get there. but you want him to talk to the people face to face for appearances sake and because its the best way to know what they need according to you. flip frigging flop. he should have been at the white house prior to the storm landfall for appearance sake alone and he didnt do it. and you really have no clue what sort of technology surrounds the highest office in the land. if af1 is good enough to command our forces in a nuclear attack its good enough to command the country during a disaster. to claim otherwise is simply talking out your ass. -- max give a man a match and he is warm for a short while. light him on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life. fuck you mike. he should have returned to the white house for appearance sake alone. the appearance of what the apperance of giving a damn. if he could do everything from his texas home there would be no need for the white house at all now would there. how perceptive of you. except for the need to have an offical residence and headquarters for our president technology has made one helluva difference since the white house was rebuilt in 1814 or so. yes it has but if you really think that it is 100% as effective as him being there then you really are a fool. he was elected by the people to lead this country and when it is about to be ravaged by this type of storm he should be back at his post. back at what post you do realize that he has all information brought to him personally. he doesnt just sit and watch special tvs. how do you know that the answer is that you dont and this is where the appearance thing comes in. for all i or you know he could have been out fishing while this stuff was going on. i am not saying that he was but there is that appearance thing again. despite modern communications it is not now or ever will be as good as being were he is needed talking face to face with the people that he needs to talk to and giving the apperance to the country that he cares and things will get done not that he will get there when he has the chance after his vactaion. given that you understand his physical location is one of appearances only maybe its time for you to shut the hell up and realize he cannot be everywhere at once. maybe its time you realized that no matter what party he belongs to a president cannot be more than a man who needs a vacation time at home and lots of people and services to bring info to him no matter where he is. bullshit!!!!! while he is president his home is the white house. he is the leader of the most powerful cou
