Help with Cummins purchase.

Q: i am considering buying a used dodge 2500 with a cummins. i have found a 1998 with low miles 61k and was wondering if there is anything i should know about the trucks reliability. i have heard about the 53 block. was this block used on all 1998s does anyone have the scoop on this truck a recommendation as to the best year 1998-2001 would be greatly appreciated! thanks andrew .
