Heater vent problems

From : steveb toquervilla zionvistas

Q: 2006 dodge 2500 four door cab not maxicab. heater wouldnt work properly. took off access plate by passengers foot and reached up. found a door that was meant to swing approximately 3 x 6. ear broken off one end. took the door out as it was just hanging there and now the heater/defroster works half ass but lets cold air in some of the time. so continuously gripes about this but my side seems okay. is it a big deal to fix this or have it fixed seems like i could jb weld the ear back on there and by feel if i could put it back where it goes. there is no way to see inside without an endoscope which i am considering buying because i dont have one. i would drill a couple of minute holes in it and add some reinforcing guitar wires to make sure the ear stays on. help appreciated. steve .
