id start with a cooling system clean/flush first. then look further into it like perhaps the blend door motor/link possibly being broken. http//www.prestone.com/products/coolingsystemtreatments.php -- ------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi ----cool toys ----mack daddy trailers ----ice angels hello own a 1998 ram 1500 4x4 q.c. 5.9 ltr. here lately for the past few weeksduring this very cold snap here when i start the trucki do hear water running in the dash like someone let water out of a sink its from the heater box area.it does stop this after a whilebut when truck is warming up and give it a little gas it changes with the rpms of truck not getting heat like used tobut getting some heat coolant checks finegood flow in radiatorcoolant level hasnt changed radiator cap is okruns at normal temp-that hasnt changedbut a couple of times on freewayhas run some cooler than usual floor and firewall is dry.i do know of a couple others that have same year of ram same issue an ideas air in system somehow any ideas would be appreciated. thank you for letting me post. eljr64@webtv.net .
