Q: from my 99 factory service manual... cylinder bore diamater max..........102.116mm 4.0203 in. cylinder bore our of round max .....0.038mm 0.0015 in. piston skirt diameter .........................101.864-101.896mm 4.0104-4.0117 in. sorry i couldnt find anything on piston-to-bore clearance. looking for information on the piston-to-bore clearance of the 5.9l cummins. this is information that should be in the shop manual if i had access to one. need to know the clearance spec. and if there is more than one piston grade. thx. if available id also like to know the bore and piston diameter tolerances. .

spent some time today looking at both the garmin and the tom tom. i like the screen on the garmin as it seems more visible from the side and seems sharper. heres the problem i found. maybe it is just me not knowing what the hell im doingshut up dennyg anyway when trying to get from ma to fl it takes you over the gw bridge in nyc the last place you want to be at anytime. i couldnt get either one of them to use the tappen zee and the gsp. i tried to get around using all the options i could find but no joy. anybody larry chris mike........ another thought does the streets and trips have that capability mac roy .

the headlight illumination on my 1998 dodge ram 2500 cummins is so dangerously bad....i do not drive this vehicle at night. i have called the local dealership and they have no record of such a problem...and no ideas as to how to recitfy the problem. last year i replaced the bulbs with pia 9004-6545 watt...small improvement. i can drive at night on high beam...all the time. nobody flashes at me....including the folks i drive behind. the lenses look clear. are the reflective surfaces breaking down is this an electrical problem....grounding...voltage i think these are the same lights as the infamous caravan headlights. is there an aftermarket drop-in replacement that works do i have to sell this vehicle due to inadequate headlight illumination i have had a pair of slyvania h-6054 lose their silvering and become exceptionally dim but the newer ram lights arent the old sealed beams either. if the lights still look bright when you look at them in the daylight lights off the silvering is still good if they look dark they need to be replaced. lots of guys me included have retrofitted the sport quad headlights and gotten good improvement in lighting. generic sport lights are available as well as genuine sport lights from the dealer. for your 98 youll need to do a little sheet metal surgury behind the lights to fit them if you you gennies. i think the aftermarket ones will fit w/o the sheet metal work. the gennie lights are reputed to be better quality and i got mine used from ebay and polished them up to look good and clear. ive heard of and used better bulbs with my original lights and never noted any real improvement. ymmv. .
