my friend is an owner of a chrysler van. he does not have usenet access dont ask. any help will be gratefully appreciated. dodge caravan exhaust muffler question. two ears ago i was debating whether to install a stainless muffler on my van. i was afraid to install something which will affect engine performance or potentially cause some engine damage through valve overheating or affecting the sensors in the exhaust line. in the end i bought the most expensive mopar muffler with resonator and i predicted back then that thy will not last for two years. they are rusted through now. my doubts are the same. is it o.k. to install something different i found a stainless muffler it says that it should work for plymouth grand voyager this is what i have. http//www.autopartswarehouse.com/performance/basket.phpmakeid=21&modelid=483&year=1995&partid=25&brandid=2418 my questions are it doesnt have the same shape could it also be rated for a different engine how accurate the online stores are about their recommendations if i dont use the resonator will that affect anything i will appreciate any advice. thanks a lot. .

you do know that drum brakes have more surface area than disk right. pleas tell me how many big rigs use disk brakes. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving and one of dcs dumbest is putting 9 drum brakes on on a 5.2 dakota 4x4. lots of power to get it going but try to stop it with a full load! which can be more carry capacity then ram 1500 with hd package but you get real brakes with that or 1500. i vote yes for the crd diesel dakota too the liberty crd is a real stump puller untill its wound up. one of the dumbest things gm ever did similar to putting 9 drum brakes on the gto in 64. .
