Happy Turkey Day

From : roy

Q: on my 1988 dodge pickup full size pickup auto 318. the driver side front axle lost a bearing and the universal. cant seem to find an axle anywhere. the mechanic found axles for that year but they have all been wrong. the bearing race is part of the axle in the housing. instead of the race being separate. the shaft is damaged and is not repairable. does this sound familiar to anyone. thanks jim .

hello all...i have recently taken over the complete parts inventory of a kawasaki dealer that has gone out of business and have soooo much stuff here. all items at drastically reduced prices off retail...some as much as 50%. e-mail me your needs and ill see if i have it. still doing inventory so it may take a week or so to get my complete list. -- ------------------------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. raleigh nc 27604 919-274-1192 loballeng@mindspring.com life is great when you dont have any issues to deal with .

hey its what friends are for . . to keep each other around to tease the heck out of. vbg give your brother my email if you wish. i promise not to mention your attire. budd the bad part denny to be completely honest is its hereditary for the most part. if your brother has it then youre an excellent candidate as well. sorry but its a fact of life my friend. diabetes is a terminal disease there is no cure it reduces the immune systems ability to fight infection and its been linked to causing heart problems among other things. most likely i will die from something related to my diabetes for instance but if i control it as carefully as possible i can still live to a ripe old age. if youre over 40 and this goes for anyone with a history of diabetes in their family to start having the a1c hemoglobin tests taken regularly. i was rough estimate a diabetic for a year and a half before it was found in me last january. i attend and get in trouble occasionally a group for diabetic support alt.support.diabetes and there is a ton of useful info there between the religious and political fight posts. there are other groups as well with excellent info but many are of british / australian origins. if i can be of help just email me ok budd no problem friend.. denny .

this is where having the whitney catalog available can help as parts listed for compatible bodies will have the same part number. for example my current catalog lists 85-91 doors being the same for 1/2 ton d-100 to 3/4 ton d-350. 81 to 93 fenders are the same as well. but if the cab is crushed badly youll still need to find a donor vehicle . .. .whitney doesnt carry them. budd i found a few parts trucks for sale on ebay but im not sure what model years are compatible with my 91 d250 for body parts like the cab and door. how do i find that out .

lol i can laugh at it now jeff but trust me for 75 miles at an average of 40 miles an hour i was far too busy to laugh. ill bet. my pops and i had an experience much the same driving across arizona and new mexico 2 days after christmas in 96. driving in a 92 nissan pathfinder at least it was 4x4 in blizzard conditions. we saw maybe 10 cars/trucks the whole way across from the border of az to albequerque. i had just had major shoulder surgery less than a week before the trip. my dads brother had fallen gravely ill and had only a couple of days to live it was his time and we could not get a seat on any airlines on such short notice. i had never done anything like that before and i hope to never do anything like it again. we laugh about it now but it was a very serious situation we had gotten ourselves into and at the time we were not laughing at all. i began to think the whole thing was a stupid idea when we couldnt get the wipers to work any longer because the windshield was covered by ice and they became embedded in it. ever stood outside the car in sub-zero temps with 40 mile an hour winds blowing snow and sleet trying to flick a bic lighter ;- never again. jeff too many think a 4x4 can go anywhere. no special skills or anything else required. too many think they dont need to slow down had a guy pass us at close to 60 mph on that slick road but i think he got the message when his silverado 4x4 starting trying to swap ends . . . and too many think the are invincible. and some just simply leave their brains at home. those temperatures remind me of central indiana . . .brrr!!! i was seriously debating on trying to find a room for the night but decided to try and get home anyway. it was good we did because the next day the road was impassable for the whole day. budd .

is there any detailed instructions out there on how to first remove factory unit and install a new one - remove the screw above the bag holder just to the left of the glove compartment. - open up the ashtray and cupholder trays - this is to prevent scratching the fronts later on - remove the entire center bezel panel by pulling it off. start at the bag holder - just give it a good yank - the panel is held in place with metal spring clips which will scratch up the fronts of the cupholder and ashtray had you not opened them up first - once the bezel is removed rest it on the cupholder and disconnect all of the electrical connectors theyre all different so no need to worry about getting them mixed up - set the center bezel aside - remove the four screws holding the radio in place. - slide the radio out and disconnect the electrical and antenna connections from the rear installation will be the reverse. be warned that the antenna connector isnt a standard gm-style connector so you may need an adapter to go to an aftermarket unit. .
