Gulf Coast part 3

Q: i already have. inside the u.s. the ng is under state command. outside the u.s. they are under federal command. i posted a link showing this. i suggest you look at it and figure it out. well hey if his hands are tied his hands are tied right poor guy got the title but no power. the power to command the ng and ang to iraq to kick ass and establish order but not to help his own countrymen. the power to send military personnel into battle without congressional approval ... but not to help his countrymen. that max is a giant pile of bovine excrement. you know better ... we all know better. placing blame where it belongs is better than whining and blaming for a political agenda. i place on the blame on government for our response time. even bush himself said it was unacceptable. it needed better leadership. hrm .... i wonder who could have done that indeed since youve said nothing for hours now. funny. i believe the response could have been better ... the majority of the public knows it could have have been better and quicker. even our president knows it could have been better as stated on tv. you however have stated that it was ahead of schedule according to your timeline ... and that the slow response time was people of nos fault anyway . perhaps i am a bit idealistic at times but thats better than being lazy and complacent and accepting the status quo. the status quo is okay for rest of the world but not for our own people. its a shame that our elected leader like you is better at making excuses than coming up with ideas to help his people. that mentality is borderline criminal in my opinion. do good things despite your opinion of the president. good luck and stay safe. ; thanks ... i will. craig c. .

well let me spell it out for you. sunday impact with no was 100% for sure. 175 mph winds. no crystal ball needed. just someone to get their head out of their ass long enough to realize that some serious shit was about to happen. yup like say no municipal government and the la state government. hell im watching senator lott run down the time line as to how they are actually ahead of the curve in how things went compared to other storms. lol yea they set a bs timeline like you did and then they can claim how they are ahead of it. i wont comment on your timeline ... i dont agree. i could have driven to no 6 times with supplies in the time it took you to assess the situation. yeah with one vehicle loaded by who to what effect on a mass of over 20000 people takes time to put together an co-ordinated effort not just hours. you are correct and much of this planning should have occured before the storm. any planning after it should only be dealing with the unexpected. okay max if that helps you sleep. speaking of sleep im going to go catch a few zs. tomorrow im actually doing something about it. good for you. were sending all our local red cross people to help you. and local ambulance crews. and our money. and likely more in the days to follow. see we remember this shit we went through agnes and got flooded out for days ourselves. we didnt have a big city to take care of us and our capital was flooded out as well. we had graveyards popping out coffins mine runoff poisoning our drinking water and no way to get to any safe major city within 100 miles. we learned from it so now when a storm comes through we deal with it. we dont blame the president or the governor. we have local people who know their jobs and they do those jobs. yea probably because your governor knows now to begin planning and gathering supplies when the storm is expected not after it hits so your local people have what they need to do their jobs. i dont care how much your local people know it they dont have what they need they can do nothing. americans deserve the best our government and military can offer in times of crises. republican president or democrat ... i expect the same. i guess you could call that an agenda. they got the best. complete bullshit!!!! the uscg was there within hours. with nothing. ng branches were there within a day. and should have been there within hours. why not tell one of those guys that help wasnt there in time and you have an idea how to make it faster next time. im sure youll have a very interested audience. simple answer plan ahead and be prepared next time. hurricanes are not surprise events like an earthquake or a tornado. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

i respect most of your views. i disagree and have stated why. thanks for the debate. btw do you ever sleep i think we agree on the major point. more could have been done earlier but the difference is who could have done it and the legal implications. im disgusted that the usn wasnt on scene within a day. i continue to be disgusted that a desperately needed hospital ship is still in baltimore. i cant afford to sleep. because of a good economy at least locally im working 60 hours a week. living alone i have lots to do on many things otherwise. -- max give a man a match and he is warm for a short while. light him on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life. i respect most of your views. i disagree and have stated why. thanks for the debate. btw do you ever sleep ; craig c. .
