Q: are you talking about the front axle ujoints and the wheel bearing if so it can be reused if you have the correct tools. time to look for another mech if they feel that the defacto standard is to replace bearing all the time because the could be just another way to make more profit on job from mark up on extra parts. on sat 25 nov 2006 062929 -0500 mrfunseeker51 kennyr53@nospam.yahoo.com wrote hi there the u joint on my 4 wheel drive is going out. a mechanic told me there is a bearing there that can rarely be removed and re-used because of such a close fit tolerance. cost of a new bearing is $250.00 to $300.00. does anyone know how to remove this bearing so it can be used again thanks for all your help!!! ----------------- thesnoman.com .

on mine it was a striped adjustment bolt on the lower link arm. i found it when i was installing new arms it cost $20 from the dealer. it holds the alignment and doesent fight the road. -- billy 1995 ram 2500 4x4 cummins .

i have 2 older dodges and 2 newer jeeps that use g05 coolant. one dodge is a 98 ram and the other is a 94 shadow. i want to make things simple but some times you cant. can the new g05 be used in older vehicles yes but you need to completely flush the green stuff from the older vehicles. the newer stuff doesnt mix well with ethelyne glycol. thanks coasty .
