Gauge Help

From : fmb

Q: i just installed egt boost and fuel pressure gauges. it isnt complete yet still need to connect the lights + to a dimmer source somewhere pull the headlight switch panel off. tap into the orange/white wire the thick one. thats your dimmer output. help and the egt signal booster + somewhere. i tapped into the red wire going to the cigarette lighter for a switched +12v. after that or before i still need to run a line from the fuel source to the isolator. where is a good place to mount the isolater and where to take the fuel pressure from fuel pressure on a stock truck should be taken from the banjo bolt on the supply line into the cp3 pump. you use a tapped banjo bolt for this available from http//www.genosgarage.com. as for mounting the isolator you can see mine here http//home.earthlink.net/tlawrence52/stockpartsremoved/img0240.jpg i hung it from the little piece of sheetmetal sticking out with a couple of sheetmetal screws and a zip-tie for good measure. you want to try and keep it off of the engine to minimize vibration. .

i had one in my 95 x-cab ram. it was called powr slider and it was made by laurance sp. it worked well and was easy to install. my only complaint was that there was no rubber gasket but you had to use butyl sealer to install the window. the power unit tucked up against the rear cab wall and was out of the way. perhaps a google search will turn up something on this. randy -- visit http//camconative.dotphoto.com to see a glimpse of life in cameron county does any one have a power rear sliding window in there truck am thinking of buying one think it would be handy seeing as i have a quad cab and a long reach. am wonder how hard it is to install or if i should just pay the price and have it installed .

ack...id have to pass on that one. -- laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. in the battle between money and love money will always triumph i may have to change my signature...... it probably why the dealer having a hard time selling. its a v6 non 4x4. carolina watercraft works wrote only harder if its a 1500. thats one reason i got the 2500 with manual tranny. someone looking at a 2500 will most likely be using it to tow or to work in some fashion and will appreciate the manual over the auto. but on the 1500 a manual is suicide when it comes time to sell it. .
