Garage door opener

Q: i have a 96 dakota with the overhead console that includes a garage door opener. can someone give me directions for programming this device oldtimer .

uhhh maybe im confused but i thought the console is supposed to hold your remote so that you can just press on the lid and activate it. i dont think it came with a remote. maybe the previous owner just left theirs in there by mistake. i have a 96 dakota with the overhead console that includes a garage door opener. can someone give me directions for programming this device oldtimer .
