Q: i can not tell you about the 2500 but my 2003 model 1500 qc w/hemi gets about 17 mpg when not hauling and around 11 mpg when towing my 4k trailer at highway speeds. on tue 10 feb 2004 161110 gmt pce esty@nbnet.nb.ca wrote this is a follow-up to the thread cummins vs hemi which as threads usually do...went way off on a tangent. can anyone give me what they are getting in mpg with these 2 trucks. also anyone hauling around a 8000 lb fifth wheel with the 2500 i am presently driving a 99 ram 1500 5.2 litre and got around 9-10 mpg hauling the trailer. can i expect any better with the 2500 5.7 hemi am getting around 16-17 everyday driving...will this be a lot worse with the bigger truck cheers peter have a nice day. ldpoos@nopants.juno.com remove nopants to reply by direct e-mail; support the right to privacy and anti-spam projects. .

sorry i havent gotten back to this........... thanks for the replies. after a week the noise went away by itself. lost a little faith in the dealer but time will tell...... on sat 10 jan 2004 102448 -0500 jammer jjhysternot@hotmail.com wrote used the truck last sunday and all was fine got into it tuesday and when i fired up the heater to high speed it sounds like the dash is going to come apart. the blower motor has a vibration and the system sounds like a jet taking off. it doesnt matter if its in the defrost or any other position loudest in full speed tolerable in the two lowest speeds. also thought i picked up a bearing noise as the motor is shut down but not always there. 18000 mile on the truck. took it to the dealer for warrantee and was told it may be that a mouse got into the system and that if they found any thing other than a defective part the cost would be on me. the truck is parkedoutside but mice have never been a problem. would it be possible for a critter to get into an area that would cause this over a two day period i dont keep anything on the dash so nothing got in thru the vents. should i try to pull the blower myself to see if something is caught in the blower cage or just let the dealer get into it one other thing........ maybe my is mind playing tricks on me but it seems to take forever twenty-thirty seconds for the airflow to change to a different position like from defrost to floor or vent. maybe its just this freaking cold weather were having here in maine. .

fwpp witnessprotectionprogram@imnottelling.com wrote in snipped same here. the advantage is clearly rwd because the drive wheels are different from the steering wheels. joe black 03 dakota 5.9 r/t cc calypso green 93 mustang 5.0 lx hatch with a few goodies actually that is what gives the rwd the disadvantage. with fwd the front wheels with the majority of weight pull in the direction you steer. if those front wheels are slipping the only place the car is going is out of control. no steering along with no drive traction = out of control. complete bull just because the front wheels are slipping doesnt mean that they have lost all traction just some of it. care to explain what partial traction is partial traction is a reduced traction force. perhaps you should look up the coefficient of friction and how it relates to static and moving sliding objects. if the tires lost all traction when they slide they would provide no force at all. this would mean that you could never do a donut or power slide and that a skidding car would never stop unless it hit something. when somthing is spinning it has lost traction. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving actually tbone has a good point. technically the only time a vehicle loses all traction is when the wheels are in outer space in a total vacuum. if the wheels are spinning on any kind of surface theres some friction present. even if the tire is spinning in air if the vehicle is totally airborne eh theres a minute pronounced my-noot amount of friction present. so we dont lose all traction until we clear the earths atmosphere. and im sure rwd is better than fwd in outer space. p rofl you may be right and i am not willing to try and prove this wrong - -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

have a 92 ramcharger...200000 miles on all original drivetrain. has never failed once. it aint a soccer moms vehicle but imho the last of the real trucks. btw....92 and 93 gets you the magnum engine with additional hp and for some reason gets you a little better mileage than the newer rams. 92 318 is a magnum the 360 is not. al on thu 5 feb 2004 131846 -0600 trailblazer sundancekidz71@yahoo.com wrote hi all i was recently looking through a truck trader when i saw a few late 80s to about 91 model 1/2 ton dodge trucksthe older style not the kenworth 94 look anyway; are these decent trucks some i saw had fuel injection as well; does the 4x4 work well any opinions would be appreciated thanks! tb .
