From : lance carpenter
Q: my 1975 dodge 1/2 ton powerwagon is a fulltime 4x4. i see that summit has conversion kits with hubs one by milemarker and one by superwinch to convert to part time 4 wheel drive. does anyone have any experience with these kits what are the pros and cons of making the conversion im looking at the fuel economy improvement hopefully offered by part time 2 wheel drive. thanks for your help! lance carpenter .

as denny said you can save your money. the kits do not fit on a dodge. this is due to the design of the front end on the dodge full time axle at that time. the best conversion you can do is to find a dana 44 from a gm truck of the era and put that under it then you can convert or you may find one with part time hubs already installed. you also need to convert the transfer case over to part time operation the superwinch hubs are for dana 60 that already have manual hubs installed from the factory. the milemarker kit is for ford and gm dana 44 axles which used different hubs than the dodge dana 44 axle my 1975 dodge 1/2 ton powerwagon is a fulltime 4x4. i see that summit has conversion kits with hubs one by milemarker and one by superwinch to convert to part time 4 wheel drive. does anyone have any experience with these kits a dyslexic man walks into a bra. .
