thanks for the reply. i was concerned because i am pretty sure the ticking wasnt there when i started the engine while cold opened the hood and listened for any noise. it sure was there after the test drive. also started another hemi and there was no noise on that one either. .

would be interested if anyone actually gets the product in question and gets any decent results. i actually received a 16oz bottle from jon a couple of days ago. im going to eat up whats left in my tank take one more mpg calc on the next fillup and start the test. i have a 35 gallon tank so what he sent is good for two full tankfuls. ill report the results right here. i can take a pic of the bottle and post here if anyones interested. the product is blue and smells kind of like dark rum g. i dunno if i want to put it in my tank or drink it! i gotta hand it to him hes *really* standing behind this product. for that hes earned my respect as well. --mike steve@carolinabreezehvac steve@removethis.carolinabreezehvac.com wrote hey jon i thought that *was* you and also thought it was pretty funny! --mike i did too and i still havent gotten that fax....but thats ok..i figured he was all smoke and mirrors anyway...and after doing some research on the product nah...its no matter. would be interested if anyone actually gets the product in question and gets any decent results. go to www.buydehydratedwater.com be sure to check out the faq ===================================== i did not post the preceeding message! to the person that did this be skeptical question poke all of the fun you want at the product in question. just have the decency to use your name not mine. what you may think is a mere practical joke actually amounts to fraud and your theft of my identity will not be tolerated. jon moser http//jonnymo.myextremeresearch.com/40k/enviromax.asp .

just use high and not high lock when on pavement. back in indiana we had some chicago guardsmen damage the 880s we had on post by running on pavement in high lock. that alone should help you mileage a bit. in high lock the front wheels cannot roll the faster speed then the rear wheels on turns. budd tis a 1977 dodge m-886 ambulance. its an automatic with a low a low lock a high a high lock and a neutral. i run in high lock. and when i put it in neutral i doesnt go nowhere. it aint got no wheel hubs. .

would a guy named dumbneasy know that sheeeeeeeesh! nope...i didnt know that and i aint got no solenoids! i got high-low-nuetral. and in neutral nothing goes anywhere. ps-s-st....77 dodge but dont tell! you should also have hi-loc and lo-loc positions on that old transfer case also. in this case you could set it to hi-loc and remove the front driveshaft to make it do what you want. but it still wont help your mileage much if any. been there and done that. g denny .

treydog....you understood right off you were talking to dumbneasy. way to go dude...i understood everything you said! okay - then let me try and continue the education... you should not run around in high lock on any paved surface. by doing this youre locking that differential in your transfer case and forcing the front and rear driveshafts to spin at the same speed. the problem is when you make turns the front and rear shafts want to turn at different speeds hence the whole reason for a differential in the transfer case to begin with. since this is a big tough 77 work truck youve been fortunate that the part of the system thats been slipping has been your tires grip on the road. less-well-built trucks would do things like blow u-joints grenade transfer cases and other nasty things a family member of mine actually broke a tooth off of the ring gear in the rear differential by making a u-turn on-road in 4wd... guess who got to put in a new ring&pinion set. on the road run it in high or low only. use the lock positions off-road on snow ice or other slippery surfaces. your truck will last longer that way. .

hello all this looks like just the place where someone might be able to answer my question. im thinking about buying a 1991 d-150 pickup automatic 5.2 liter v8 engine. i need to find out its towing capacity. it says right by the hitch unit that its 5000 pounds but my mothers nissan pathfinder 6 cylinder can pull that. if i have a weight-distributing hitch certainly this can pull much more than that i have called the dodge help line and they only have information back to 1995. anyone know the answers here thanks a ton. you can email me at msupra@verizon.net. melissa i have in my collection of sales literature one of the smaller brochures for 1991 trucks. the d-150 maximum towing weight is listed at 9000 lbs club cab at 8700 and 4x4s are reduced tp 8100 lbs. as redneck so aptly points out the maximums are with the proper equipment. i doubt most d-150s have all they need to meet the maximum rating. most that ive seen anyway were equipped with 318 fi engines rated at 170 hp a-518 transmissions and chryslers 9.25 axle usually with 3.55 gears. in my more comprehensive ramcharger catalog this combo is rated at 6500 lbs. btw even with a weight distributing hitch youre limited to 10000 lbs after that its goose neck time. leaving the official information i have pulled 8000 lbs. of car and trailer from los angeles to fort worth texas and was quite pleased with the way the 93 ramcharger except for the 230 hp magnum engine exactly as above handled the load. i got decent mileage and no problems maintaining legal and sometimes extra legal speeds with it including using overdrive. texas canyon on arizonas i-10 was no problem at all. .

either that or you would cook the clutches depending on the type of coupling the transfer case in question has. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving dumbneasy wrote i have a full-time four wheel drive vehicle. ive got a 2500 mile trip coming up. would i....could i......disconnect my front wheel drive line safely and improve my gas milage at all now if youre thining what a stupid question this is.....just look at my screen name.... if i knew the answer to this question i wouldnt ask....and id also change my screen name to something with smart in it. tia if its full time 4wd then you can not disconnect the front wheels. its a different transfercase that acts like a third differential. removing the front drive shaft in order to disengage the front wheels will then open one end of the diff and you will not move at all. just put an extra 5 pounds in the tires and keep it under 70 and the mpg should not be too horrific. .

my 87 model w/ the 5.2l 2 bbl carb automatic 3.55 rear end towed my 3300 lbs boat w/ no problem. a 4400 lb pontoon boat was a different story. 55 mph was wide open on level ground. i swapped to a 4 bbl and intake and it helped tremendously. but 7500 lbs would be way outside its capability even w/ the 4 bbl. if yours is efi - it may be better but i doubt it can do 7500. -- tony my boats at http//t.thomas.home.mchsi.com hello all this looks like just the place where someone might be able to answer my question. im thinking about buying a 1991 d-150 pickup automatic 5.2 liter v8 engine. i need to find out its towing capacity. it says right by the hitch unit that its 5000 pounds but my mothers nissan pathfinder 6 cylinder can pull that. if i have a weight-distributing hitch certainly this can pull much more than that i have called the dodge help line and they only have information back to 1995. anyone know the answers here thanks a ton. you can email me at msupra@verizon.net. melissa .

is your isuzu a full time 4 wheel drive -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving bob wrote you could do it. but you won;t save any gas. it may save a little gas. on my isuzu i changed out the permantly locked hubs for manual hubs. ive gained a consistant 2mpg highway. not really enough to worry about but it does decrease wear and tear on the cv joints etc. .

yet more spin. i demanded nothing and suggested that we try and treat each other in a civil manner but as you have continued to demonstrate you re unable to do so. btw how can you both ignore and correct me liar. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving 9/04/04 when you start showing to others that you dont know it will come back to you and the same goes for me. this is a general statement . 9/06/04 it will when you actually do treat me with some respect and stop trying to make me out as the only bad guy. this would sound good except that you magically didnt bother to include what i was responding to. no you never demanded respect at all . . . . . . .liar. sorry budd but these are suggestions not demands. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

report shows bush was awol earlier this year president bush told the nation i did my duty in the national guard in 1972 when he was supposed to report for service.1 but according to a major new report that is not true. as a new examination of documents by the boston globe shows bush fell well short of meeting his military obligation. twice during his guard service - first when he joined in may 1968 and again before he transferred out of his unit in mid-1973 to attend harvard business school - bush signed documents pledging to meet training commitments or face a punitive call-up to active duty. but he didnt meet the commitments or face the punishment the records show.2 bush also has claimed i did show up in alabama3 in 1972 when he was supposed to report there for duty. but as the globe notes bushs service records do not show him logging any service in alabama until october of that year. furthermore even that service is in doubt as no one has come forward with any credible recollection of having witnessed bush performing guard service in alabama or after he returned to houston in 1973. a new group called texans for truth will begin airing 030 second television ads featuring a national guardsman who in 1972 served in the very same alabama unit bush was supposed to have joined. that guardsman testifies that he never saw bush show up for service - a story corroborated by others. see the ad here http//daily.misleader.org/ctt.aspu=2937329&l=53732 .4 sources 1. transcript for feb. 8th airing on meet the press msnbc 2/13/04 http//daily.misleader.org/ctt.aspu=2937329&l=53733. 2. bush fell short on duty at guard boston globe 9/08/04 http//daily.misleader.org/ctt.aspu=2937329&l=53734. 3. transcript for feb. 8th airing on meet the press msnbc 2/13/04 http//daily.misleader.org/ctt.aspu=2937329&l=53733. 4. texansfortruth.com 9/04 http//daily.misleader.org/ctt.aspu=2937329&l=53732. .
