if you actually have 12v going to the pump the gauge voltage has nothing to do with it and a good ground and the pump is not running then yes it will need to be replaced. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving so..... if i have 12 volts going to the pump and the guage works i need a fuel pump. right thanks. dave .

.. fuel pump 92 caravan with a telling insight into his understanding of the operational perameters of late model fuel systems..... jazzman450@insightbb.com jazzman450 seemed to be pleading for help in maintaining his structured household finanaces with this emergency posting........ so..... if i have 12 volts going to the pump and the guage works i need a fuel pump. right thanks. dave .. dave no....you need to do a more thorough diagnosis. check your injector signals grounds and restricted fuel flow first. then shoot from the hip as a last resort. in short.......spend the time to ensure that thecostly fuel pump and labor will actually fix the symptom. as a quick check......confirm a good ground at the fuel pump then disconnect the fuel line before the filter and then cycle the ignition switch to check for fuel flow. this is assuming you do have a 12v signal good luck....you just saved $187.53 rufus the smartest man i ever met........never said a word. .
