we have oil companies and defense contractors telling our government what to do. the current administration has mounted the most far reaching attack on our personal freedoms in history. you can buy an assalt rifle now....is that a step back or forward with all due respect steve you could buy an assault rifle even with the ban in effect. all the ban did was limit the magazine capacity to 10 rounds and make it illegal to sell a weapon with a bayonette lug or grenade launcher attachment. a person could still go out and buy an ak-47 but without these features. many people make the mistake of confusing an assault rifle with a fully automatic weapon which you still cannot buy without a special license. the assault weapons you can buy now and with the ban in effect fire one bullet with each pull of the trigger as does every semi-automatic gun from .22 caliber up to .50 caliber. fully automatic weapons which you cannot buy without a special license will empty the magazine if you keep the trigger pulled. obviously neither bush nor kerry knew the difference in the last debate. twice now in my life time we have pulled our nation out of a military based economy and now bush has dragged us right back into another military based economy. is there something else for this country to be proud of besides our ability to kill our fellow man ask those nuts that flew the planes into the towers....oh..thats right...you cant....they died before everyone else. jam .

i have a 99 dakota v8 5.2l auto trans air cond club cab. i thought i noticed this late into last winter and im certain i can detect it now the mornings just recently turned are cold where i live. the heat output used to be excellent usually the heater put out so much heat that id have to turn it down after a driving for 10 to 15 minutes but now i detect that the heat is somewhat marginal i.e. not what it used to be. i also notice that the amount of heat noticeably increases with engine vacuum such as when i heavily accelerate going up a hill i get lots of heat and when the hill stops or i take my foot off the gas the heat output lessens. when im driving on a level road such as an interstate highway at 65 mph there is just adequate heat but not anywhere as much as there used to be. note that im not referring to the volume of air the fan pushes out the volume does not vary im referring to how hot the air is that the fan pushes out. i suspect theres a leak in a vacuum line that controls the hot-air/outside-air mixture. but im lost as to where to look ... i donut see any of the black rubber vacuum hoses 1/8 going from the engine/manifold into the cab. nor do i know where to look under the dashboard assembly. any help pointing me in the right direction will be appreciated such as where might i find drawings of how to access the heater/blower assembly the air mix door etc. .
