Q: i have had a problem the bottom heating vents at feet level since purchase. i attempted to have problem corrected in nov 2001. nothing was fixed. last week i brought it back to dealer who had the heater scanned. he said it is either a malfunction with vent or the heater motor. he will enstall the motor the cheapest alternative. i dont that is the problem . i think with the other heating vents working fine that is not the problem. anybody else experieced the same problem and what was the cause kindly reply by posting only. thanks.......big doug .

gettinwestern@gmail.com says... spacers seem to work well in situations involving carburetors or tbi injected trucksgm etc..but since the injection on the chrysler la magnum is mpfi i dont think it would make much of a difference...or i could be wrong completely doh yeah... all i seen was throttle body and figured he might be talking about a tbi unit. i didnt see any hint he was talking about a mpfi motor but yeah a spacer wont do a durn thing for one of those. the only way they get away with stuff like that is to say up to even when its zilch. .

says... does a throttle body spacer really give you up to 20hp gain and 4mpg gain or is it just a wast of money ive herd both postive and negative about them. thanks think about it. a tb spacer would cost about a buck or two to manufacture in mass quantities. dont you think an oem would jump on a 20hp gain and 4mpg improvement for a $1 or $2 investment if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. tanstaafl! mike actually it can improve performance. ive seen spacers make gains on carbureted engines first hand on engine dynos. some can improve airflow for atomized fuel as raising it up creates a more gradual turn. different spacers gave better torque and or horsepower others made both worse. just like changing intake manifolds... however you need to keep in mind they say up to xx horsepower. that does not mean your engine will see those gains if any. now that tornado crap that shade tree show guy keeps pushing is pure snake oil. the less you disturb and smooth out the airflow the better. .

well with the big 8 cylinders its a bit of a job to change the starter. but youre running out of choices. starters are case grounded. so the surface between the starter and the block needs to be clean. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. hi people 1995 1500 auto 2wd 5.9 this has recently been difficult to start when cold but then starts fine when the engine is warmed up. when cold it just clicks a few times and sometimes it doesnt even click. after a few tries it has so far started but i want to fix it before it one day decides not to start at all. i have had the battery checked and it rated at 883 cca which is in excess of the rated 875. i have installed new terminals on the battery leads after cleaning all wires etc. i have checked the grounding connections and every thing is squeaky clean and tight. i am leaning towards the starter solenoid as the starter cranks over fine once it hooks up. anyone have any helpful thoughts on the problem thanks in advance. dave .

remidns me of my last dentist. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. hey i figured that we needed a break after all the budd crap.that and my friggin shoulder is sore after that bs. friggin doc says they will give you a shot of novicane for the surface then another further in towards the joint then we will put in the solution. bs all three in 1minute. no time for anything to work. sure it was numb after but not during. and when it wore off wow! cant imagine how ill feel when they really get into it next month. i want all the percs.g roy .

i had the same thing on my dodge truck. i took it to the dodge dealer in quincy il. now bear in mind the only problem i had was the light coming on. unhooking the battery stopped it for awhile but it kep coming back. the dealer in quincy il fixed the light problem over a year ago and since then i have had shifting problems. the dodge dealer in quincy il finally gave the truck back to me and said they couldnt fix the problem. it shifts from first to second ok. from seconf to third from 25 to 35 mph makes a bang. it wont shift into overdrive 5th until exactly 52 mph. at 51 mph it downshifts. my advice. put tape over the light and forget it. it cost me $3000 and it still doesnt shift right. i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 with a 360 and some trouble codes. the check engine light is on all the time for the last couple weeks. i have got a dtc like p1740 which i have looked up to be the tcc or tranny soilnoid. i was wondering what this means and how to fix it and how expensive it would be then i recently got the code p0138 which i looked up to be a o2 sensor circuit high voltage bank 1 sensor 2. i was wondering what this means and how to fix it and how much it would cost so anyone with any info would be nice. thanks .

hmm. are you suggesting that i take the carb apart and have it rebuilt -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. i think the problem was rotted out fuel line. replaced 10 feet or so of 3/8 inch rust that was pretending to be fuel line. now the van runs continuous instead of one second at a time. my original thought was a fuel problem. you probably have a carburator full of crap. id rebuild the carb. i had something similar and that was problem and solution. .
