Q: wrong. the rotation of the engine indicates that during the combustion stroke the big end of the connecting rod is swinging to the high cylinder wall which puts the load on the lower wall. nope. think about it tbone. if the con rod wrist pin end tends to go towards the lower cylinder wall where does the piston crown the part without lubrication go it will also go toward the lower cylinder wall only a pinhead would not understand that. oh wait a minute now that would be you. yup upper side of the cylinderjamming the combustion rings and the dry crown against the cylinder wall. hahahahahahahahaha hehehehehehehe hohohohohohohoho oh please stop it max you are killing me. first of all it that were to happen the cylinder wall would be trashed remember that dry metal to metal contact thing. second there is no force being applied to cause the piston crown to lift at least not in the forces that you just described. in order for the piston to rock either an upward force needs to be applied to the crown or a downward force needs to be applied to the skirt with a pivot point between them. now i realize that you think that the connecting rod is the pivot point but you would be wrong. the connecting rod is the angular force pressing the whole piston against the lower wall and there is no pivot. i guess that you are the one needing that napkin now huh max. meanwhile the lubricated piston skirt is against the lower wall with much less contact and much less wear. yes it is along with the rest of the piston and that is the only reason that the wear pattern is on the lower wall. if the bank was angled the other way the wear would be on the upper wall. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .
