having trouble starting it might be the starter but found water near the carberator and the choke doesnt stay open. help this is my only ride to work trouble starting is kinda vague more details. assuming you have a v8 both the 318 and 360 have a problem with the exhaust crossover passage in the heads/intake manifold plugging solid with carbon; this shuts off the heat to the base of the carburetor and the choke mechanism wont get hot enough to allow the choke to fully open. removing the intake and manually removing the carbon is the only fix. .

hmm i get around a average of 21 mpg in city and highway in my 99. no matter how hard i push it. 5 speed helps a little but i doubt that much of a difference. i got the same in my 99 dakota 5sp but it had the 4cyl. now my hemi 1500 is getting 13.8 in town. -- homebrewer http//85cj7.blogspot.com/ http//85cj7.webhop.net/ http//funfacts.webhop.org/ when you decide something is impossible to do try to stay out of the way of the man thats doing it. .

jeff mayner wrote yonzie wrote fmb wrote i checked my tire pressure on my trip to ny and noticed its rather hard to check your rear tire pressure and fill it with the current lay out of the air valves. i havent found anything specifically for these yet. except for rubber valve extenders--yuck! anyone know of a better set up i adjust my pressure pretty regularly as to whether im towing my 5rh wheeler or not. -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- ive found a little trick i use when hauling my 5th around to check for a low tire. i use an infrared thermometer. just point and click. it tells you the temperature of the sidewall if that is what you are pointing at and of course that doesnt tell you what the pressure is but when you take the temp of all the tires it tells a story. a low tire will generate more heat than one that is pressured up to where it should be. when traveling with the 5th you should be checking your pressure every 200 miles or so. what a pita if you have to get down and fiddle with the pressure guage cap etc... i use the model shown here http//www.radioshack.com/product.aspcatalog%5fname=ctlg&category%5fname=ctlg%5f010%5f005%5f001%5f000&product%5fid=22%2d325 or http//tinyurl.com/nznz for short. it is radio shack catalog # 22-325 and is on sale for $30 down from $50. works fine for me ymmv. i picked up at my john deere dealer a infrared therometer with laser to check bearing temps on my combine. this should also work on tires wouldnt it handy to take this to a niteclub and find hot women if you need one of those to find a hot woman i dont know what to tell you. ;- jeff dale some beautiful gals good be cold and cruel .

97 4x4 1500 ram 110000 miles i can be going straight down the road not turning at all and if i hit a bump about half the time i get a grinding noise coming from the right front of the truck. should i assume that it is the universal joint going bad or could there be something else causing the problem im not afraid to take on the job but is there a website that shows some good pictures on what to expect .
