i bought a refill kit at pepboys one with the built in guage but i think the guage must have been bad because it would barely move the whole time. it took the whole can about as tall as a tall beer can and still wasnt showing any pressure. i pulled the connector off and the low side started hissing and dribbling oil. so i put the cap back on tight and it stopped. the ac was now blowing ice cold air and the compressor was still going on and off but the frequency was less frequent. all the hoses on the low side are cold now. what concerns me is should the low side dribble when the cap is off and why is the compressor still going on and off no it shouldnt and it sounds like you have a bad valve on the low side that discharged the system. the system may still be low on charge which would still have it cycling. i would take it to someone with a real gauge set and have them look at it to get a better idea of the real charge and repair the low pressure side valve. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

on sat 11 dec 2004 195439 gmt roy roy@home.net wrote i have driven both of them. i am in the process of buying an srt-10. so i have first hand experience. so do i. i was at the same place last april. drove the srt-10 for about two hours it is a fast piece. but you couldnt tow with it or load it. drove the lightning for maybe a little longer it too is a fast piece. you can tow with it and load it. at the time the difference in price out the door was approx. 15k. the couple of mph top end and the 2 tenths in the 1/4 didnt equate to 5k never mind the 15k difference in price. i went with the lightning 12k on it and not a problem. remember on the street the 2 tenths mean nothing. a few inexpensive mods and the lightning is as fast or faster than the srt10. good luck with it. roy the older the boy the more exotic the toy remember bro... he who dies with the most toys still dies.. .
