Engine modifications

Q: i have a 2001 dak 4x4 4.7l. it used to get better mileage than it does now - i daresay its topping off at 12 or 14 highway possibly less i havent done an actual measurement when it was getting 19/20 highway when new. im not a mechanic and being in england do not have access to a dodge dealer closest is the jeep/chrysler dealer. i do however have access to a hobby shop on base thatll do a variety of minor repairs/services. i dont mind doing my own work with proper instructions. 12-14 highway sounds a bit too low my 99 durango 5.9l gets about 16. anyhow check out possible conversion to lpg - liquified gas is much less expensive in uk than petrol and will probably pay back conversion costs in about 20-30k miles. peter .

has anyone out there seen and or checked their front door seals nearest the rear view mirrors on my new 2004 quad cab the seals interfere with the door and have already broken. ok the dealer replaced them with new ones and the interference remains so they also will break in a few weeks. dodge sure did some lousy engineering on those seals maybe someone needs to start a class action suite to get some redesigned seals on those doors. emil .
