i have a 5.2 liter v8 dodge ram 1500 1/2 ton. hope this helps. by the way i did change out the tps today and so far today the engine has not died. it also seems to have made the transmission less troublesome. it was chattering alot during acceleration at slow speeds and was having problems going from 2nd to 3rd gear often. .

my dodge ram is not a diesel. does that mean that i do have an iac and tps .

rayjor wrote thanks! ill check it out. i found out later today that it could also possibly be the throttle position sensor. do you have info on this sensor causing this problem ========= ========= diesels dont have iacs or a tps. the cummins diesel used in the dodge ram does have a tps. roy marsh loves an informative queery .

ivan wrote ive decided to part out my 89 d50 ram rather than repair the engine. im wondering if there is a way to do a reverse look up for auto parts. i want to know which models/years or what other vehicles a particular part will fit. ========= ========= you know ive got this old tv set ive been thinking of doing the same thing with........ so.... if you dont mind....... let me know how this works out for you. you know... keep a log of all the time and effort for me then do a repost when all the parts are gone or untill you gits frustrated......... sos i can make an intelligent decision on whether or not i want to do it with my tv set. cuz....... lifes reeeeelly kinda short you know and if i can just junk it out for a couple of bucks to buy some fishn bait with..... then im liable to save myself all that time and aggrevation and jest take the money and fill up the ole boat motor and have myself one extry fishn day before i die. but....... if it all works out well for you.... i may be a tight enough ass to spend all the effort to let someone come and yank it apart for $5 a tube...... you know cuz....i aint gonna do it that would take away from my fishn time. and besides...ill be a bit busy answern all the bullshit phone calls from folks with no money weeding through the perspective sales and answern their funny off-topic questions........to go yankn the parts off for them. so.....please..... if this thing works out good for you....... oh......fk..it........... who am i tryn to fool............ i still wouldnt waste my time with it.......... but.....i do hope it works out well for you. marshmonster suggests you sale the truck as is.....use the money to come on down to pensacola and watch us blow the hell out of a aircraft carrier and sink it .

sounds like possibly stuck or sticking iac module idle air control motor. location is on the back of the throttle body. rayjor@elp.rr.com writes please helpl! my 1995 dodge ram dies frequently when slowing down while approaching stops. the engine rpm goes to zero and then the engine dies. sometimes the engine rpm goes to zero then returns to normal. whats up .

burning counterparts. i also have the option of biodiesel with far fewer drawbacks than the ethanol mix you will be forced to used fairly shortly. another flaw to your assertion that it would be cheaper to drive a v10 well that gasoline gets hauled in on.... diesel powered trucks. there is obviously a lot more to why diesel works so well but i doubt youd believe it. its been great reading your comments again. i see they are factless and inane as always so ill let you get the last word. -- max there are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty soap ballot jury and ammo. please use in that order. -ed howdershelt author god i hope not. ok why not for one simple answer they stink. the fuel stinks and so does the exhaust. it is bad enough when i get stuck behind them as infrequently as i do. it would really suck if their numbers increased dramatically in the form of mid-sized pickups for people trying to compensate for something. the funny thing is that if it does happen the rapid increase in demand will cause the cost of diesel to climb so high that it would be cheaper to drive toms v10 than your cummins and i feel sorry for anyone who heats their homes with the stuff after that. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving . 222 316711 1146004032.342065.54430@g10g2000cwb.googlegroups.com thanks!! this is first time using google groups and am very impressed with availability of knowledgeable resources...and fast!! thanks again. .
