Engine Oil Leak 5.9L

From : bruce

Q: thats how they do it in my city in s. oregon. a vehicle a cant stay on the street more than 72 hours without being moved. no non-operating vehicles may be in front of the house setback for extended periods. yes you can repair your vehicle in your driveway basically all it takes is a neighbors complaint a public service officer will check it out and leave a warning if the vehicle is still there 3 days later. they give them 72 more hours usually longer then tow it unless there is a reasonable explanation. usually when there are spider webs under a car it hasnt been moved in awhile. i personally have 4 vehicles for 2 people. 2 are in the garage and the 2 in the driveway get driven every day. i shouldnt be taxed more because i have 2 classic cars in the garage. take care of the real culprits the trailer trash mentality of the few that cause problems for the rest. how would i go about establishing laws limiting on-street parking or having abandoned vehicles in your yard or on the street the same way several thousand other cites have done it i guess. it is very common for cites to have ordinances regulating such things without resorting to taxing citizens who have committed no crime other than owning a second vehicle. tbone wrote and exactly how would you go about doing that .

has any other hemi owners experienced a vibration under hard acceleration. i have an engine vibration at about 4000 rpm and goes away abot 5000 rpm. almost feels like the harmonic balencer is out of wack. under normal acceleration no vibration. i cant see it being a driveline vibration because it only hapens under hard acceleration. i can cruse down the road at 90 mph and no vibration. any ideas kevin 04 1500 4x4 hemi 01 caravan .

well im all set. i have 3 quarts of royal purple 75w-140 synthetic gear oil a tube of valvolines best synthetic bearing grease a new torque wrench and a tube of permatex ultra blue. now i just need to watch for the ups man to show up with the powertrax no-slip. the tension builds. im going to record the whole process with the digital camera and put the pics up on a website. its a strange feeling kinda scary going into a area of your vehicle youve never been before. but ive gone through the steps so many times i think i can do it in my sleep. three things im not sure about.. and im a person that likes to be sure about things before making the swan dive blindfolded into the abyss - the c-clips. how hard are they to get off and back on will i need to grab them with pliers and yank them off or pry them with something or do they just fall off - cripes. i just now learned somewhat accidentally about the rtv having to cure for 24 hours before you put the oil in. it says it cures in 24 hours at 70 degrees. the temp around here is 50-60 and probably very humid - its been raining on and off for weeks. i wonder if i should give it some extra time or something. - the label on the rtv says to put the two surfaces together immediately but quite a bunch of people say you need to let it sit for 10 minutes to give it a little skin or it definitely will not seal. however in situations like this i tend to follow the manufacturers directions. ron m. .

tbone wrote why not a person with a bigger house than you in your area pays more taxes than you do. why shouldnt a person with more cars then they need not do so as well not in all states really which ones and who determines how many cars i need .......... you indirectly yes me and the rest of the society that you live in. if you really need or just want them then you shouldnt mind paying a small tax for privilege and if you dont then the tax is good encouragement to get rid of them and clean up your neighborhood and also helps pay for the enforcement of some of the white trash laws mentioned above. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

- the c-clips. how hard are they to get off and back on will i need to grab them with pliers and yank them off or pry them with something or do they just fall off a magnet is the best way to grab them. being coated in oil its a little hard to grab them with your fingers. - cripes. i just now learned somewhat accidentally about the rtv having to cure for 24 hours before you put the oil in. huh nah... 15-20 minutes at most. i clean both the housing and the cover surfaces wipe it with alcohol or brakekleen apply the bead slap the cover on tighten then torque the bolts in a criss-cross pattern clean up the rest of the tools put everything away grab a drink and by the time im done i fill the diff. never had a leaker. youll be fine. .

ive a question i went to change my drivers side headlight and took out two of the three bolts to remove the headlight assembly. i got to the third with is the most outside bolt and there is not enough room to get the bolt out. im sure if i wanted to climb underneath the truck i can figure something out. my question is is there a simple way to remove the most outside bolt. once out then the rest would be a piece of cake. thank you. .

hello all my dad is buying a used 2003 dodge ram with crew cab hemi and the laramie package. i was looking over the truck for him and i found some bumps on the bed. right above the wheel well it looks like someone took a dent puller to it in a few spots. i told the salesman this truck has been hit. the salesman told me this was normal and chrysler would fix it under warranty as it is a known defect.he mentioned bad welds as the problem. looking at the wheel well it looks like all the so called bad welds are done where you screw in say some mud flaps on the exterior side of the bed about 3 above the wheel well. i have a hard time believing dodge would make a truck with flaws in the body of this magnatude. i have looked at 30 dodge trucks the past few days and this is the first time i have seen this type of thing. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks mike regards michael fell .
