then i would first look at the connections under the seat and make sure that they are not corroded or melted. while checking them you could run a continuity test on the heating elements as well and make sure that they didnt open up. in dont have heated seats in my truck so i am not sure if they are individually fused or fused as a pair. either way i would check them as well. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving carolina watercraft works inc. loballeng@mindspring.com wrote in 2001 with 76k miles...warranty was gone long time ago. thats why i posted it here. -- laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. 2810-5d yonkers road raleigh nc 27604 loballeng@mindspring.com that should be a warranty item take it back before you get a real fire. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving carolina watercraft works inc. loballeng@mindspring.com wrote in 2001 ram qc...anyone else ever have this problem first the passenger side crapped out now the driver side. -- laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. 2810-5d yonkers road raleigh nc 27604 loballeng@mindspring.com .

laszlo do the switches for the heated seat illuminate if so the fuse is good. if not check the fuse and the heated seat relay in the power distribution center refer to your owners manual. if the switches illuminate disconnect the seat heater plugs under the seats and check to see if you have power going to the seat when the switches are on. if so you likely have a burned out heating element. to check this use an ohmmeter and check for continuity through the element. if it shows an open circuit then the elements are burned out. if you are handy with tools and soft trim repair the elements are not too hard to replace. there are a couple of other things to check but the above are the most common probs. hope this helps! chryco service manager member sae carolina watercraft works inc. loballeng@mindspring.com wrote in 2001 ram qc...anyone else ever have this problem first the passenger side crapped out now the driver side. -- laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. 2810-5d yonkers road raleigh nc 27604 loballeng@mindspring.com .

i was going to post asking about the heated mirrors not working anymore on an 01 3500. but sounds like this might be the procedure i need just in different locations. yes / no andy laszlo do the switches for the heated seat illuminate if so the fuse is good. if not check the fuse and the heated seat relay in the power distribution center refer to your owners manual. if the switches illuminate disconnect the seat heater plugs under the seats and check to see if you have power going to the seat when the switches are on. if so you likely have a burned out heating element. to check this use an ohmmeter and check for continuity through the element. if it shows an open circuit then the elements are burned out. if you are handy with tools and soft trim repair the elements are not too hard to replace. there are a couple of other things to check but the above are the most common probs. hope this helps! chryco service manager member sae carolina watercraft works inc. loballeng@mindspring.com wrote in 2001 ram qc...anyone else ever have this problem first the passenger side crapped out now the driver side. -- laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. 2810-5d yonkers road raleigh nc 27604 loballeng@mindspring.com .
