Q: i have a 1999 dodge 3/4 ton with a flame red paint job. the thing i want to do is take out the little scratches that seem to accumulate all over the truck. got some touch up paint from the dealer but i am unshure how to proceed. or where to look for advice. im shure somebody on this group has done this to their truck because this paint seems to scratch very easily. not deep but noticeable. some primer shows grey in some of the scratches. asked the dealer what kind of paint this is they said they dont know ok fine but mabey somebody here has experince in this area. any advice would be appericated tom. .

chauncey gardiner wrote im getting ready to replace the oem tires on this truck p265/70 r17 which have never handled very well in the snow. we live in the sierras in california so we need to deal with snow occasionally but it isnt as much of an issue as it would be if we lived in montana. the snow rarely gets any more than about a foot deep. wed be looking to get some good all-seasons rather than a dedicated snow tire. economy is a concern- at least if a tire were fairly pricey wed want to be sure we could get decent wear out of it. i do plan to check tirerack.com for some ratings but any advice you all could give me would be appreciated as well. the truck has an automatic transmission 4wd has the smaller engine 4.7 and is usually driven with the bed empty. i have had excellent results from the michelin ltx m/s tires. they are not noisy on highway handle great and last along time 60k+. .

of all the possible replacements a 3208 would be at the bottom of the list. your list maybe not mine. another in a long list of things to disagree on. proving that you diesel knowledge is lacking as well. are you one of those that thinks a v8 can compare in efficiency to an inline six when the fact is that the inline six will always be a more efficient design its a v8 to start with and isnt noted as one of the more efficient diesels in its size range. never said otherwise being a v8 is what appeals to me. i guess that answers my question. possibly regional but theres an abundance of them here. there seems to be an abundance of them everywhere. they are cheap to buy. of course i already said that. just about anyone will tell you the 3208 burns more fuel for its output than a comparbly sized engine. max life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan .
