Q: ahyup i am gonna have one put in my 5 speed one of these days i found a few places that will do it and if done right there shouldnt be any safety problems! it just wont start if i leave it in gear how do they accomplish this a plate with some micro switches that goes over/around the shifter it would be slick on a truck with an electronic transfer case. the unit could shift the t-case into neutral then start the vehicle. when the clutch safety switch gets engaged ie. driver steps on the clutch it could relinquish t-case control back to the dash controls reverting back to the previous setting. .
