joe devola wrote any ideas how do increase my mileage or get a little more performance out of my 98 durango with minimal expense i am thinking intake and exhaust but i have heard they they come stock already beefed up from your typical system a little and wonder if it is going to make a big difference anybody tried anything that worked well thanks in advance. a better ignition system will help you see some improvements. i believe the msd site has some information regarding this. .

i have a 99 with a 5.9 and i have done both the k&n intake and flowmaster cat back. on the freeway at 65 my milage computer holds right at 18 to 20 mph. before it held 16 to 19 mph. the low and midrange to power incease is sure nice. i have played with reprograming and in hurt the timing over 55 mph and the engine lost all power. i recomend doing either the intake and exhaust or reprograming but not both. the flowmaster kit is a great direct bolt on and uses the factory hanging locations. summitt has the best price on the kit. hemi .
