Q: i just bought a 2003 durango r/t and the manual says the tank holds 25 gallons. but the low gas warning light goes on and the needle buries on e so i fill it up and it takes only 19 gallons. why the big discrepancy thats more than 20% off! any input thanks .

they want to make real sure that you dont run it out of fuel and fill the fuel lines with air and cook the pump. by what you are saying it sounds like you are the very type of person that they are worried about - -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving i just bought a 2003 durango r/t and the manual says the tank holds 25 gallons. but the low gas warning light goes on and the needle buries on e so i fill it up and it takes only 19 gallons. why the big discrepancy thats more than 20% off! any input thanks .

the pump cools by being submerged in the fuel. would you rather burn up the pump or have the warning light come on early but the low gas warning light goes on and the needle buries on e so i fill it up and it takes only 19 gallons. why the big discrepancy thats more than 20% off! a dyslexic man walks into a bra. .

my dakota quad has a ligh that turns on with 1/8 tank left. i found that means it has 6 gallons left on a 24 gallon tank. the others are correct since the pump is in the tank it is major important to not drive around with the pump sucking air and running hot when it does. if the fuel was stable and didnt move around you might be okay with a lower warning level but hey i dont know anyone that drives that way. fill-er-up when the light comes on and you will have a longer pump life. i just bought a 2003 durango r/t and the manual says the tank holds 25 gallons. but the low gas warning light goes on and the needle buries on e so i fill it up and it takes only 19 gallons. why the big discrepancy thats more than 20% off! any input thanks .

1/8 of 24 would be 3 gallons of gas. not 6.... 6 of 24 would be 1/4. i wouldnt want you to run out of gas. 1/8 of 24 can be 6 if its a big enough value of 1/8 ;- .

the current draw & pressure required to operate the electronic fuel injection system builds heat. how do you plan on cooling the pump large capacity electric fuel pumps used on carbureted street cars have a heat problem from the current draw required to operate. the solution is to use a device that limits pressure at slow speeds when all the capacity isnt required. you can do this with a carburetor system. you cant with an electronic fuel injection system. it requires full pressure to atomize the fuel i personally would rather have a pump outside the fuel tank along with its filter so that it could be more easily and cheaply replaced! do most fuel pumps at least on pickups now live right in the fuel tank what are the advantages for having one live there higher pressure performance while keeping cool doesnt seem to be longevity. a dyslexic man walks into a bra. .
