have any of you had a similar problem with your durango trans. about 3 wks ago the trans in my 02 durango with 96k started having a slight hesitation in it when shifting between 2-3. it didnt matter whether the tranny was hot or cold. the car is out of warranty so i drove it over to the local trans shop the guy told me it was a common problem with dodge trans. if anyone has encounter this problem maybe it will save some diagnostic time or money. what transmission do you have if its a 42re or 46re a simple kickdown band adjustment might help. john .

my sons 99 durango is having a problem when it first shifts kinda slides into the next gear but after it warms up it is okay. is this indicative of just needing a fluid/filter change or is it potentially caused by bands or something else needing adjustment im no transmission expert but a filter and fluid change wont hurt and will give you an indication of what if any the problem is. how many miles on it roy .
