Durango Trailer Wiring Harness Question

Q: just bought and installed a trailer hitch on my 2001 durango read my bitch post about crap quality-s brand hitches if you havent already but now i need to do the wiring. everyone tells me it should be no big deal i just need a t connector type harness and plug and go. sounds easy except where do i plug it in i looked while i was under the back end of the truck most of the day saturday trying to install the hitch but i saw no plugs or wires for the tail lights. i dont see an easy way of getting into the lights from inside the vehicle either. maybe im just missing something but if anyone knows where the harness plugs in please share the secret. also while im at it can anyone recommend one particular brand of harness maybe theyre all the same but i figured id better ask since my bad experience with the hitch. thanks!! --dg .
