tom & debbie heintz wrote i have a 2003 sprinter with the mercedes diesel engine. last winter im in minnesotai had no problems with gelled fuel. this year its in the shop today for the third time to be warmed and started. i blamed the first two times on bad blended fuel but this time i dont get it. i put in power service emergency anti gel topped off the fuel tank with a grade of diesel that claims its good to 36 below it was 20 below today. it was cold over the weekend 15 below and the truck started and ran fine until today monday. any suggestions out there anybody believe in-line heaters if the fuel filter works ok in normal temps does that mean it doesnt need replacing i mean would a fuel filter be the problem even if it works ok in temps above cloud point any input would be appreciated. thanks! how many miles do you have on it. has the fuel filter been replaced & if so how many miles ago. little personal experience i had years ago. 85 f-250 diesel had about 11000 miles on the filter. i was driving home one night and the truck started losing power. i had a spare fuel filter in the truck that i installed after the truck died on the side of the road. it started right up & ran great after that. i havent had a problem since i started changing the filter every 10000 miles. in-line fuel heaters work well in my experience. we had them on the line trucks where i used to work. they worked quite well. i would bet that there is a factory set up for you. best of luck tom heintz mopar maniac thanks for the info. it has 90 thousand miles and never change the fuel filter. but doesnt seem to have problems unless its cold. probably a precaution to change it eh thanks! .

got the outdoor timer!! thought that might be a good idea! raul ------------------------ has anyone else corrolated a direct relationship between use of thier block heater and dramaticilly higher electric bills just as cold last month but bill was much lower. and i was away this month i plugged in the ol gal 2 x on exceptionally cold mornings and this month my bill was about double. well it isnt that hard to figure out. block heaters are about 1500 watts im dont know what is in the dodge but the ones i have installed in other trucks are 1500 or 1800. battery blankets are usually 1500 watts. take 1500 watts x number of hours it is plugged in each night x number of nights you plug it in each month. this will give you total watts consumed. divide by 1000 to conver to kw and multiply that by the kw rate you pay for electricity. the easiest way to cut down on cost is to get an outdoor timer. scott .

try this place. andy http//www.1aauto.com/1a/windowmotors/dodge/durango/1awrg00116/62762 thanks. ill take a look inside the door first then contact the dealer. sorry...that is if i remember correctly i had to get the tracks from the dealer...no one else had them iirc what is that is that where i can find one thanks. dodge uses a plastic track for the windows...yours sounds like it is shot. they are fairly inexpensive $50 iirc but they will charge you about 100 bills for labor. i did several on minivans etc. and they are fairly easy. takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. hello all. ive got a 99 durango and the front right window wont budge but im not sure of the problem i havent taken off the door panel just yet...figured id post the diagnosis here first. the window is in the up position good so this doesnt need to be a quick fix but something id like to get done and when i try to roll it down i can hear the motor start to move it but it doesnt move more than about 1/16. so it sounds to me like the motor isnt shot but that there might be something in the track or possibly something broke off inside it stopped working on a very cold day and i tried to roll it down and it got about 1/4 of the way down and i heard a snap. any ideas id like to fix it myself but havent had the time to remove the panel to investigate and see if it is something i can handle. thanks for any suggestions. .

ok here goes i want the dual wheels for pulling a 27 foot tt with slide to obtain more stability when towing which is about all i use the truck for. do you already have the auxilury spring package which would get you a swaybar would adding a swaybar solve your problem quicker and cheaper than an extra set of tires thought of trading it in on a diesel 3500 till i got a load of the price of diesel fuel now. you may find that despite the price of diesel its still cheaper to run and it may give you more power up hills etc. obviously this will vary from user to user but it may be worth checking into. max life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan .

gm bought the remaining supplies of that paint color to use on their ssrs last year. hey - at least the design and the color compliment each other... sorta like a turquoise pacer .

i had been getting an engine code p0422 if i remember correctly for some little while. i didnt bother resetting the computer after the second time and it started including p0455. per the advice i read all over the net i replaced the gas cap thanks mike! well that was a little bit ago i finally got around to resetting the computer on friday this is england its been a bit wet and cold. thats my excuse and im stickin to it! anyway this morning the check engine light came back on showing p0455 again which i understand translates to a large evaporative emission control system leak has been detected. before i trust my dakota to the chrysler/jeep dealer they dont sell dakotas here is there anything i can check for if there was really a large leak wouldnt there be symptoms what i havent noted anything unusual in how the dragons been running cept i think the gas mileage is a bit poorer than normal but that could just be the driving conditions here. any help appreciated! jmc usenet at jodi dit ws any day you learn something isnt a total waste. .
