you have to look at the door and check the gap between it and the body of the truck for consistency this may seem basic but how can you tell if its out of alignment so i can point this out in advance. not sure what i would know what to look for. soemthing you can do yourself i wonder chaos confusion and trouble!!!! my work here is almost done .

my 94 dakota was the same way except i think it was from crash damage on the past. the door frame at the roof line was out of alignment about .062 of an inch just enough to let water drip in when it rained. fixed the alignment myself. just open the window completely put your knees on a solid part of the inside of the door around the edges grab the upper window frame and pull on it fairly hard. you will be surprised at how easy it is to spring and bend the top in a little bit. that was all it took and everything is nice and dry now. guaranteed that is how a body shop will fix it also. they will just call it by another name. ron .

well for me i used two ways. 1 i eye-balled it compared with how the doors were aligned on the passenger side looking straight down the body from the rear of the truck and 2 when the drivers side door the one that had the wind noise was closed i could push on it and there was still more room for it to close more. ken thanks for the tip. this may seem basic but how can you tell if its out of alignment so i can point this out in advance. not sure what i would know what to look for. soemthing you can do yourself i wonder i have a 2000 ram quad cab and i complained to the dodge dealership about the same thing. only i could plainly see both driver side doors were not aligned correctly. they replaced the seal and of course the problem persisted so i took it back and pointed it out to them again and this time they realigned the doors and the wind noise went away. ken have the common wind noise coming from the driver side door seal esp on highway. have a 2003 ram 1500 hemi. its a bit annoying. on my 1999 ram 1500 i had the same trouble cant believe they still havent fixed it! but a new seal really did nothing. is it worth taking in to get a new one has a replacement actually fixed anyones wind noise thaks todd .

take several clean and new dollar bills. shut them in the door between the seals and the door. pull them out. if any are excessively loose door is out of alignment compared with a known good door seal. david thanks for the tip. this may seem basic but how can you tell if its out of alignment so i can point this out in advance. not sure what i would know what to look for. soemthing you can do yourself i wonder i have a 2000 ram quad cab and i complained to the dodge dealership about the same thing. only i could plainly see both driver side doors were not aligned correctly. they replaced the seal and of course the problem persisted so i took it back and pointed it out to them again and this time they realigned the doors and the wind noise went away. ken have the common wind noise coming from the driver side door seal esp on highway. have a 2003 ram 1500 hemi. its a bit annoying. on my 1999 ram 1500 i had the same trouble cant believe they still havent fixed it! but a new seal really did nothing. is it worth taking in to get a new one has a replacement actually fixed anyones wind noise thaks todd .
