Don't put on wheel well trim covers on your truck

From : dale yonz

Q: dont really know if the title of this post is relevant to my problem but here goes. i have an 02 durango and had the ball joints repaired as per the recall back in january of this year. just this past week i started hearing what sounded like a rattle sort of metalic sounding whenever i would hit a bump in the road. it was coming from the drivers side and as far as i could tell was in the front. anyway on monday i took it to my local mechanic and they checked it over. they adjusted some dust shields and wheel well shields in the front of my car. they said they werent on right and were probably causing the rattling. yesterday i started hearing it again and today went back to my mechanic and they told me i should bring it over to my dealer as they were told by the person at the dealer that several people brought their autos back with similar symptoms as mine which were possibly related to the ball joints. has anyone heard of problems resulting from the work on ball joints on their autos i have an appointment next thursday to bring my car in and hopefully will find out then. .

atf +3 also called 7176 buy it at the dealer no dex will not destroy it just cause severe chatter at tcc application the proper aft is very important! using the wrong stuff can result in premature failure of the park pawk... or so ive heard..... ;^ mike hi my dodge caravan le 3.3v6 has 150000 miles on it. im going to change the transmission fluid. my mechanic told me there is a mobil 1 automatic trans fluid and recommended i use that. checking on the web how to change oil i found this for example some chrysler transmissions need only specific type of fluid and regular fluid like dexron ii can even destroy the transmission. mobile 1 isnt dextron 2 but is there anything wrong with using the mobil 1 product its a 3 speed with overdrive. and can dextron 2 really destroy a dodge transmission thanks mike ps how do i change the fluid in the torque converter if you just drop the pan replace the filter and gasket button it up and pour in new oil wont that be contaminated by the oil in the converter is this a problem .

uscgretspooge.comcast.net wrote dodge city dealership saskatoon saskatchewan put on wheel well trim covers runningboards rubber mat on endgate moulded mud flaps etc. when i bought my truck new from them in jan 03. last july i took off one of my mud flaps off to replace a screw. had it off and cleaned up the flap. decided to take off the wheel well trims at the same time to see how things look. under the trim paint was starting to blister and where they drilled the screw it was starting to rust. took off the other mouldings to see what was happening there check out my pics http//photobucket.com/albums/a24/yonzie/sc=1&multi=4 dodge will fix my truck because the trims werent a mopar product. but yet the dodge dealership keeps selling them. as of last week the dealership was still looking into my problem and havent gotten back to me. just letting you know those wheel trims could cause a problem. not only do i see them on other dodge trucks seen them on fords also. if the dealership would tell you of the problems or tell you they should be taken off every now and then and be cleaned i know i wouldnt of put them on. i wanted to protect the fender lip from stone chips and got rust instead. dale that is why i do installs myself i have not found a conscientious installer yet. they never prime and paint drill holes use stainless fasteners use rtv in the holes to keep water out or just do not give a rats ass. coasty thats the words i was looking for they dont give a rats ass they used philips screws about 6 or 7 cant remember for sure on each trim. half of them were rusted on the heads and hard to get out. the philips head couldnt get a good grip to unscrew them. dale .
