Dodge Ram.....HEATER PROBLEM

Q: intermittent engine + guage failure; odometer reads no bus. the fix is i go and press on each of the three pcm connectors and at some point the whole thing comes back to life. there was a recall on 03 rams to add o-rings to the pcm connectors - you may want to check and see if anything similar was released for the durangos. even if not id put a bit of dielectric grease across all the pins and might even go so far as to run a tiny bead of silicone around the outside of the plugs where they meet with the receptacles to try and seal out any moisture. .

replace thermostat. fill antifreeze level. why would you say that she says she has warm out of the rights side vents and defrost. probably the damn little door that is screwed up. roy -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. . i have a 2003 dodge ram quad cab 1500 series with the 4.7 motor. it has developed a problem where the heat blows warm out of the vents on the right side of the radio. the vents on the left are just blowing cool air. this is also the same problem with the heater...right side warm left side cool. the defroster works okay. it is not blowing hot.just warm. please e-mail me any suggestions since i cannot afford to take it to a dealer. i posted this on a friends computer so please e-mail bcoleman33@comcast.net thanks barbara .

flash! went for a short drive today two city blocks and the problem is still there. slows acts sluggist. restarts after awhile if i hold the pedal to the floor. slugs along and then runs but very little power. changed the air filter and will see if that helps. incidentally i had the carb rebuilt last year. by a repair garage that has done a lot of carbs. feels like the choke opens very slowly. but that might be just that the air filter was clogged and the machine was running rich. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. why would i rebuild the carb when replacing the fuel line fixed the problem the titanic made it to and from the gas station. so unless something is leaking not likely the case is closed. until it breaks again. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. stormin mormon wrote hmm. are you suggesting that i take the carb apart and have it rebuilt yes it wasnt too much for the rebuild kit and only took a few hours. just follow the instructions. of course i took it apart before i had them and that was a mistake. get kit read instructions and then take apart. ken .

i have a 1995 ram 1500 automatic 5.9 360 v8 that refuses to go into reverse when i put it into gear until i give it a little gas and then it slams into gear. my fluid level is good--im wondering if anybody has any advice or possible diagnosis whens the last time you changed fluid/filter whens the last time you checked the band adjustment your rear band could be out of adjustment. does it do this all the time or only when you first start up if only at first start put it in neutral for a few seconds then see if it will go into reverse smoothly. .
