Q: yea your probably right. do you know of anyway or place to check that. even after all these years i just cant get used to those damn buttons for the horn and now the left on is sticking. if thats the case look for at least a 99 wheel assuming theyd fit. the 98s were notorious for having hard-to-actuate horn buttons. in fact on a buddys 98 ram unless you depressed exactly over the horn icon on the vinyl cover the horn wouldnt sound. on my 99 they improved the mechanism and you can press just about anywhere on the airbag cover and the horn will sound. as far as actually checking it short of picking one up from a junkyard and dont plan on it including an airbag and trying it i dont know of any other way... sorry hey no problem and thanks for the tip on going with the 99. ill have to look for some junk yards around here. i should be able to get an idea of if it will fit and if the controls will hook up if i can find one even with the airbag missing. i get a little nervous messing with the airbag anyway. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .
