Q: a buddy of mine has a dodge 3/4ton h.o. 4x4 diesel with a 6speed manual tranny. he has heard there are some problems some people have with the tranny. anyone heard of any defects these might have -- donny nelms tnimmortal@chartertn.net union electricians do it without shorts! .

i have the 99 dodge 2500 diesel with 6-spd transmission. i have had zero problems with the transmission. works like a charm towing my 5th-wheel. there was a delay in delivery of the truck from the factory. they had some type of transmission problem and i had to wait for the truck as a result. edj a buddy of mine has a dodge 3/4ton h.o. 4x4 diesel with a 6speed manual tranny. he has heard there are some problems some people have with the tranny. anyone heard of any defects these might have -- donny nelms tnimmortal@chartertn.net union electricians do it without shorts! .

what are the specific problems you have heard ive got 30k miles on my 2001 3500 with no problems and i havent hear of any problems. the manual 6 speed is bulletproof compared to the slush box that failure waiting to happen. a buddy of mine has a dodge 3/4ton h.o. 4x4 diesel with a 6speed manual tranny. he has heard there are some problems some people have with the tranny. anyone heard of any defects these might have -- donny nelms tnimmortal@chartertn.net union electricians do it without shorts! .

no problems with my 6 sp on my 03 ho 3500 with 28000 miles. about 10000 of those miles towing my 38 13600lb 5th wheel. although i did have a steering box go bad while in the middle of nowhere hyder alaska and had to be towed about 250 miles to the nearest dealer in smithers bc canada. -tim a buddy of mine has a dodge 3/4ton h.o. 4x4 diesel with a 6speed manual tranny. he has heard there are some problems some people have with the tranny. anyone heard of any defects these might have -- donny nelms tnimmortal@chartertn.net union electricians do it without shorts! .
