moparman wrote http//www.ariolic.com/activesmart/low-level-format.html right. ...it is not possible to low level the drive outside the factory. low level format lays out the sectors so theyre ready to contain the bits. they tunnel down in the registry and the only way to rid yourself of them is to do delpar and low level format your drive and start over sooo... to clean your windows registry youre going to turn your disk into a blank piece of metal then have western digital low level format it into a magnetic hard disk again huh idiot! hey! just to be *sure* adaware is gone maybe you should turn the disk to rust extract the iron and smelt it and reforge it into a new disk again! .

sounds like the torque converter is unlocking and then locking back up. you can test this by driving at a steady speed and very lightly tapping the brake pedal. this will cause the torque converter to unlock momentarily and cause a slight increase in rpms. the most common cause of this is a bad throttle position sensor. other sensors and the brake pedal switch are also suspect. snip thanks miles ill try what you suggest and report the findings tomorrow. i forgot to mention that i observe the behavior at most any operating temperature or air temperature. another thing would the tps or other sensor problems show as fault codes w/o showing on the dash idiot lights as check engine thanks mole .

could be heater element inside the cab. check for wet rug. could be head gasket. check for high oil level and white oil foam. generally check for deposits of green crud. steve 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.9 engine regular cab sport. for the last few months my coolant recovery tank empties. my radiator stays full to the top and there are no leaks present. the truck has never overheated. i do not tow or abuse the vehicle. when i do add coolant it is the 50/50 premix green. its about a quart or so a month i recall when i do add coolant to the recovery bottle. i let the truck cool down completely before i add any. just wondered where is the coolant going sometimes i can smell antifreeze but there again i cannot find any leaks or drips underneath the truck each day where i park. has me stumped. any help appreciated. .

i have a 01 1500 4x4 quad cab with off road package with about 45k on the truck. i bought it used last year and it has cooper discovery a/t lt265/70r17 tires that are about worn out. i am looking at new tires any suggestions that are good on 99.99% pavement dry wet and snow but very little offroad. it seems that the original tires on this truck were 275/70r17. if i go with this size for my new tires will the truck sit up any higher or are the tires just wider i dont want it any hihger...it is already a pain to get into otherwise i love the truck. also this truck appears to have abs according to dashboard light but it certainly does not stop like it has abs dont get the abs sound and pumping like other abs cars i have driven. is the abs on rear tires only this truck does not stop very well in snow unlike my old subaru but the front worn tires may have something to do with it.... thanks borninpa .
