Dakota has been broken & sitting for 8 months

Q: just bought my 1st dodge truck after 15+ years of gmc. on the gmc i had some nice slip on mirrors for towing made by cipa but they are not made for the dodge. cipa does have some other models such as the 11960 that are supposed to work on a dodge but before i jump off center i thought id look around for the voice of experience. you know experience is what you get when what you get is not what you wanted. so before i learn the hard way... so what are most folks using congrats. you finally saw the fault in buying a chevrolet with a gmc tag glued to it for an extra $4gs but yeah what tom said..the factory ones seem to be the best. i wonder if one can go buy them and put them on. .

my guess is that the gulf comes back online more efficiently and the influx of bio diesel and ethanol as well as other sources of fuel such as coal will lower demand on crude oil. plus im a firm believer in the fact that part of the rise in prices is due more to speculation on the futures market than actual demand. -- max there are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty soap ballot jury and ammo. please use in that order. -ed howdershelt author funny i heard a rumor that exxon expects $20 a barrel for crude in the future. i guess ya never know. i really do not see how unless the us stops using oil all together. with china and india becoming more industrialized it will only get spread thinner. -- max there are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty soap ballot jury and ammo. please use in that order. -ed howdershelt author hi folks got a 96 2500 4x4. is there any way to add an overdrive to this rig im hearing lots of noise about fuel prices getting ready to take off -- trying to find a way to squeeze a little better mileage.... workers in the oil industry saying about rumors of $15 a gallon for fuel within 5 years. jim .

depends on a number of things but if the distance was truly short and the guage never read hot you may have little or no problems. the gauge never read hot because all his coolant dumped onto the street when the lower radiator hose came off... thats a $25000 epa fine on top of everything else are a fire hazard. crank it over without starting it by pulling the coil wire. do this 2-3 times for about 10 seconds each. and it wont hurt to shoot a little lube at the throttle linkage assembly on the throttle body before starting it. this is from past experience. my 95 had been sitting for a while. i got in turned the key and it fired right up. i went to rev the engine a bit and the throttle stuck wide-open. ah well - thats what rev limiters are for.... oh yeah except i had a performance computer with apparently no rev limiter cause the rpm jumped to a little over 5000 4000 redline on the v10. i immediately shut it off figured out what happend lubed the throttle linkage and tried it again.... worked much better the 2nd time .

i think you were supposed to do some service on that front end about 60000 miles ago . . . . -- budd cochran our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. it is wholly inadequate for the government of any other. john adams i have a 92 dodge power ram 150 4x4. truck has 120000 miles and runs great. the steering has some play in it. going about 55 mph truck wants to wonder left to right. noticed that drivers side tire is a bit more wore than others. could it just need a front wheel aligament thanks *** posted via a free usenet account from http//www.tera.com *** .

anything yet on the outcome of the noise i have the same problem with 2k miles topcop wrote 2006 dodge ram 1500 with 3000 miles. anytime the shifter is put into park a loud clunk is heard from the transmission/driveshaft area as if someone were hitting it with a small hammer. the dealer said this is normal but it does not sound normal nor does it do it every time. anyone have or know of a similar problem if so what was the remedy thanks .
