i run 235 - 70 -15s on a 93 with chains from wally mart w/o problems. i suspect 265 might be marginal. on tue 16 dec 2003 075208 gmt bouncy tigger seanptnospam@telus.net wrote thats a 2001 qc 4x4 travers seanpt@telus.net wrote has anyone running 265 70r 16 tires on their 4x4 dakota tried running snow chains any body damage the chains will be for offroading in the hills so the dont need chains..learn to drive guys can keep quite ;- .

i have a set of v-bars that i use on mine. they seem to work fine but i dont use them all that much. i was told that if your tires are passenger rated i.e. p265-70r16 they are not rated for chains. use at your own risk. standard tips...make sure any loose links are tied down so they cant hit the inner fender and use tighteners on the outsides. i have successfully climbed a 5500 ft mountain through 18 of snow with mine. the steepest grade was probably about 8%. have fun has anyone running 265 70r 16 tires on their 4x4 dakota tried running snow chains any body damage the chains will be for offroading in the hills so the dont need chains..learn to drive guys can keep quite ;- .
