jmc wrote now this is something my daks done since i got it. at first i thought it was user error. there was a big gap between purchasing my previous truck 1991 and this one 2001 so i wasnt sure if it was a technology thing. over time i just got used to it. but i wonder sometimes... in first and sometimes in second gear when going really slow the truck will lunge forward a bit back to normal forward back. sometimes just a bit sometimes quite a lot. kind of like a dog lunging on a leash. not sure if its even particularly noticible outside the truck but sure is inside. hope i described it well enough. it doesnt do this at any other time just at the very bottom of first gear - if i went much slower itd stall - and sometimes at the very bottom of second as well. any thoughts jmc reminds me of the hokey pokey. btw what if that is whats all about .

is that the site that these people are paying thousands of dollars for paint ball hunting girls and being able to do what they want with there trophy i just came across the website for a video called hunting for bambi. from the looks of it it seems to be a low-brow stab at the oln/playboy genres of cable networks but also comes across as a misogynist celebration of gun culture. does anybody have any insight or opinions as to what else it could be construed as the preview is on www.teambambi.com .

anyway this morning the check engine light came back on showing p0455 again which i understand translates to a large evaporative emission control system leak has been detected. i had that problem for a number of weeks. they changed the gas cap checked the hoses etc. to no avail. finally they determined that a vacuum pump on the fuel system had stopped working. they replaced that pump and all has been well since about some 40k miles ago. -- john t http//tknowlogy.com/tknoflyer http//www.pocketgear.com/productssearch.aspdeveloperid=4415 .

in why so ill leave that alone. i was told there were adtapters available at one time but i cant find anything on that as of yet. i know jc whitney sells dually adapter kits... of course i wouldnt trust them but they are available. to do it the right way involves getting the wheels/tires a set of front spacers from a 3500 and replacing the studs on the rear hubs with ones for a 3500. as for the fenders you can either get a set of 3500 fenders and bolt them on extending the fuel filler neck which involves cutting a larger hole in your bed side to allow the filler neck to come through or do some ugly hack job with a set of custom fender flares sorta like an early 90s 3500 ram... those fenders certainly looked like an afterthought. of course this assumes you have either a v10 or cummins in the truck now which would give you either a dana 70 or dana 80 axle in the rear. if you have a v8 then you have a dana 60 and while you could physically bolt the dually wheels up youd gain almost nothing as far as load capacity since youll max out the gawr of the dana 60 long before approaching the load rating on the wheels/tires. .

bottom line if you can put up with the wide rear fenders and the reduced mpg of the 3500 that might be the way to go. just remember after you get where you are going with the rv in tow you un-hook and drive your truck 3500 or your pick-up 2500 around for general transportation. -- bill p. 2004 2500 slt quad cab dodge ram swb 2wd 5.9 ho turbo diesel 48re auto trans anti-spin 3.73 dif.rhino liner husky 16k. voyager controller 2005 27rl wildcat dt/pc wi-fi. just me and dog thanks. i missed the info in your signature. the fiver i am considering is a bit heavier and i am still in the process of analyzing the gvwrs and the gcwr. i am also a little concerned about auto transmissions from any manufacturer including the 48re. i think gmc offers the allison. i wish dodge did. eisboch i turn my signature off when posting in other than rec.outdoors.rv-travel group. there are a lot of knowledgeable folks over there but some of them are real assholes. but if you want more information on helping to decide that is the place to ask your questions. yes the allison transmission in a good item and the duromax might be also but it has not been out long enough to really produce a reputation no doubt will in time. what is your intended use of the rig you are going to get. part time living like snow birds going south in the winter weekender or full time living. are you intending on using it in freezing temperature keep in mind they say you get what you pay for of course you really dont in any case but it is a general rule. a lot of people will buy an rv and find it is not to their liking and want to sell some are in mint condition but some warrants tight scrutiny before buying. but this is the best way to avoid the initial depreciation of a new unit. and is highly recommended for first buyers. -- bill p. assholes in rort! hoppy surely you jest! ;^ mike 2004 2500 slt quad cab dodge ram swb 2wd 5.9 ho turbo diesel 48re auto trans anti-spin 3.73 dif.rhino liner husky 16k. voyager controller 2005 27rl wildcat dt/pc wi-fi. just me and dog .
