i just change my catalytc converter a few weeks ago and i put an oem for 5000 cc and my dakota is 3900 and now the gas millage has decreased from 18.25 mpg to 14.25 mpg. can the change have something to do with the milleage or its just a coincidence and the problem should be in other place clt. .

ok ill ask. why is it any harder to convert a 1500 then it is to convert a 2500 duh.... because the 2500 sits higher so you have more room to work underneath. sheesh... everyone knows that! yeah i have no clue either - but the answer should be enlightening im really surprised at you. id have thought a man of your experience would know that tools to work on a 1500 are much more expensive than the 2500 wrenches. not to mention the click type torque wrenches are inaccurate on the 1500 series. denny .

tbone wrote gas prices will go back up soon enough. they are being lowered for now in order to slow the rush to higher mileage vehicles. please explain exactly how the gas companies control the price in this manner. nice liberal story but how about some facts to back up your claim that gas companies artificially control prices to slow the rush to higher mileage vehicles. do oil future investors know about this too funny. .

its going to take a while for that one to grow on me. i liked the fact that the crew cab ram was smaller than the ford. the old style looks a bit more sporty and is still practical for my use. the larger cab is probably a welcome addition for those that have to wrestle with a car seat or a bunch of rowdy snot-nosed kids. ; craig c. .

tnloaswpraemnmcien5g@earthlink.net says... theres three of them actually - about 35 pins each located on the passenger-side firewall engine-side. if its a physical problem with the wiring id suspect it to be under the dash close to the obd-ii connector right where your foot could unknowningly kick it. thanks again for the insight tom. i checked the one nearest the hook-up driver side and it was firm. sans multimeter i guess ill be bringing it to dodge... -- chris http//www.choxnpinz.com .

no im not. and he was stating his experience with his 5600 which i find beneficial. personally i dont recall the 5600 trannied ram i drove to be any more difficult but maybe i need to take one for another spin. i was obviously not turned off by the 5600 or i wouldnt be considering doing this. -- laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. in the battle between money and love money will always triumph i may have to change my signature...... hhmm...maybe i need to find a 6 speed here and take it for a spin. hey! i thought nay-sayers werent allowed here anymore... now youre actually considering taking a contrary opinion im declaring shenanigans... .
