Q: in response to bemolded159 s post. i thought everyone should know out of the blue....the brake lights stay on even when the engine is off.....have checked fuses disconnect and reconnect the battery......what could the problem be pull up on the brake pedal. the brake light switch could need adjusting or replacement. depending on what you have you may or maynot be able to adjust the switch. more info on your vehicle would allow someone to make a more accurate guess. remember the info we provide is a guide or guess on diagnossing the problem. we can not see your vehicle for ourselves so we have to go on the info you provide us more detail and accuracy will help us help you. -- chris .

denny wrote wow! i guess i live in the wrong place. if someone was stealing my truck in my driveway i heard them breaking in had my wife call the sheriff i went out and tried to stop them they told me to buzz off and started backing out of the driveway i threw a hammer at them and beaned him on the head im in big trouble cause that hammer was deadly force and he was not threatening me...just stealing my truck. plus he was going away from me when i chucked the hammer so he was retreating and i escalated the situation. im in really big trouble. ohio sucks.. and sometimes i wonder why i got my permit...... from the texas penal code sec. 9.42. deadly force to protect property. a person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible movable property 1 if he would be justified in using force against the other under section 9.41; and 2 when and to the degree he reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary a to prevent the others imminent commission of arson burglary robbery aggravated robbery theft during the nighttime or criminal mischief during the nighttime; or b to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary robbery aggravated robbery or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property; and 3 he reasonably believes that a the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or b the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury. craig c. .
