on wed 05 jan 2005 180606 gmt tbone t-bonenospam@nc.rr.com wrote face it - you are clueless. then so are you since you agree with what i said no max he did not. you clearly stated many times that there is no voltage drop and then tried to back it up by listing the batteries cca and the alternators current capabilities against the current draw of the bulbs to prove your point. the fact that you are doing this this is very unlikely but if the system has .24 ohms resistance the total circuit resistance per bulb would now be 2.64 ohms. 12 volts on 2.64 ohms yeilds 12/2.64= 4.54 amps. apply ohms law and the bulb sees ixr=4.54x2.4=10.896 volts. the resistance sees ixr = 4.45x.24=1.0896 volts. this math is overly conservative and somewhat in error. the problem is that most of the circuit up to the y splice including the wire sees both bulbs and double the current than was assumed for the voltage drop calcultation. he also forgot to include the multi-function switch and numerous connections which can significantly increase the resistance of the headlight circuit. i didnt forget anything. i just wanted to make things simple enough for the moron to understand. unfortunately with some in this group you cannot take such liberties. if you do they will spin it and accuse you of the one being wrong. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

tom lawrence tnloaswpraemnmcien5g@earthlink.net wrote then after that investment is made you do the exhaust intercooler manifold air filter fass fuel lines gauges electronics injectors and maybe even the turbo as this is a 2nd gen machine. steve hes not looking to build the next sidewinder truck... hes looking for another 90hp or so. his exhaust will be adequate though id probably yank the muffler and straight-pipe it - intercooler is perfectly adequate manifold assuming youre talking about the exhaust manifold is fine - an ats 3-piece would be nice but certainly not necessary. the stock air filter is still capable of flowing enough air for that hp level... its not great and there are certainly better intakes available but again - its adequate for the intended application. or have they been forgotten. lets see what else... fass. well a pusher pump definately. the fass is certainly a nice product and i have one on my truck but a $250-$300 pusher pump kit at about half the cost of the fass is plenty for this application. fuel lines again the stock lines are capable of flowing more than enough fuel for this. some of the pusher pump kits come with fittings to replace the restrictive banjo bolts which is all thats really needed and probably overkill for this application. fuel lines. gauges absolutely. an egt gauge is mandatory. so is a fuel pressure gauge given that this is a 2nd gen truck. a boost gauge is nice but not absolutely required although at about $50 why not. electronics sure - thats where the additional 90hp will come from. injectors nah... the stockers can flow enough. turbo again stock is up to the task. remember hes got an hx35 turbo which can handle more power than your hy35 can. even still remember that cummins equipped the 305hp engine with the hy35... hes not looking to go much beyond that. hmmnn. you would probably be better off starting with a new machine. these are expensive trucks. all he wants is a little more power and youre suggesting buying a whole new truck he just took advantage of a positive force. i have no idea where this $2-3000 estimate is coming from but you are way off the mark. not really. $1500 or so in transmission upgrades and thats on the high end with a new tc and vb - could probably get away with a $300 pressurelok box from bd to up the line pressure and save the other $1200 for a completely re-built tranny down the line. $550 or so for the fueling box. $300 or so for a pusher pump and about $200-$250 in gauges/mounts. even with the tranny parts which can also be recycled into a new rebuilt core thats under $3k. both women and men suffer from breast cancer while only men suffer from breast cancer while only men suffer from breast cancer while only men suffer from breast cancer while only men suffer from breast cancer while only men suffer from breast cancer while only men suffer from prostate cancer. -- lady chatterly here are your posts under the lady chatterly sock. -- sports fan .

happy new year everyone! i need some help because im not sure what is going on if anything at my local dodge dealer..... anyway took 02 ram wagon 3500 in for work back in november - bought it used in october wtih 38000 miles on it - well in november had the bearings replaced all around - thank god for extended warranty! anyway christmas eve the check engine light came on and the fine folks on this ng told me to go check the code - well the code that came up on display on the odometer after turning key to on position 3 times was p0138 which said was an o2 sensor. so had an appt this morning - took it in expecting work to be done - and 4 hours later came back and said i was ready to go.....there was no charge on the receipt and no they didnt do the work for free but there was nothing found and the check engine light was off - i dont get it - did they just reset it without doing any work but the problem is still there and will show its head again soon anyway i checked the code again when i got gas and the pdone showed up so not sure what to expect and how long again before i have to make the 45 mile trip to the dealership to just have a light reset rather than getting it fixed. i didnt tell them that i had checked the code and found it was the p0138 code.....maybe if i had they might have done some work not sure - for you see im mechanically inept so that is why i turn to you good folks on here so if you can please help wtih any suggestions tips or advice! very much appreciated and thank you for all the help in the past! thanks! brad .

my 2001 maxivan has started draining the battery overnight. its a new battery the alternator is charging producing enough juice to charge it etc. any recommendations on the most likely culprit my approach will probably be to put an ammeter in the battery circuit and start pulling fuses until the drain stops but id just as soon have a bit better idea which circuit might be the likely place to start. any advice is welcome -- thanks mark sparge .

neo tech party administration *cash*cash*cash* posted by b 205.188.197.157 date 01/02/05 turn $6.00 into $42000...read this to find out how!!! reading this could change your life! i found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. a little while back i was browsing through groups just like you are now and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands of cash within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! so i thought yeah right this must be a scam but like most of us i was curious so i kept reading. anyway it said that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and address stated in the article. you then place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at #6 and post the article in at least 200 groups. there are thousands no catch that was it. so after thinking it over and talking to a few people first i thought about trying it. i figured what have i got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00 right then i invested the measly $6.00. well guess what!!... within 7 days i started getting cash in the mail! i was shocked! i figured it would end soon but the cash just kept coming in. in my first week i made about $25.00. by the end of the second week i had made a total of over $1000.00! in the third week i had over $10000.00 and its still growing. this is now my fourth week and i have made a total of just over $42000.00 and its still coming in rapidly. its certainly worth $6.00 and 6 stamps i have spent more than that on the lottery!! let me tell you how this works and most importantly why it works....also make sure you print a copy of this article now so you can get the information off of it as you need it. i promise you that if you follow the directions exactly that you will start making more cash than you thought possible by doing something so easy! suggestion read this entire message carefully! print it out or download it. follow the simple directions and watch the cash come in! its easy. its legal. and your investment is only $6.00 plus postage important this is not a rip-off; it is not indecent; it is not illegal; and it is virtually no risk - it really works!!!! if all of the following instructions are adhered to you will receive extraordinary dividends. please note please follow these directions exactly and $50000 or more can be yours in 20 to 60 days. this program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants. please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions. you will now become part of the mail order business. in this business your product is not solid and tangible its a service. you are in the business of developing mailing lists. many large corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. however the cash made from the mailing lists is secondary to the income which is made from people like you and me asking to be included in that list. here are the 4 easy steps to success step 1 get 6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper please put me on your mailing list. now get 6 us $1.00 bills and place one inside each of the 6 pieces of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope to prevent thievery. next place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes and seal them. you should now have 6 sealed envelopes each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase your name and address and a $1.00 bill. what you are doing is creating a service. this is absolutely legal! you are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it! like most of us i was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it all. so i checked it out with the u.s. post office 1-800-725-2161 and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses 1nathan gilreath 6049 porter ave. east lansing mi 48823 2beth collins 1012 woodbine ave. toronto ontario m4c 4c1 3 melody mckinley 8 huntingdon drive dartmouth nova scotia b2v 1w1 4 c. witt 12 pine st. attleboro ma 02703 5ben ervin 1281 cadillac dr. hamilton oh 45013 6 d j kelly 661 powell st apt # 3 brooklyn ny 11212 step 2 now take the #1 name off the list that you see above move the other names up 6 becomes 5 5 becomes 4 etc... and add your name as number 6 on the list. step 3 change anything you need to but try to keep this article as close to original as possible. now post your amended article to at least 200 groups. i think there are close to 24000 groups all you need is 200 but remember the more you post the more cash you make! this is perfectly legal! if you have any doubts refer to title 18 sec. 1302 & 1341 of the postal lottery laws. keep a copy of these steps for yourself and whenever you need cash you can use it again and again. please remember that this program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants and by their carefully adhering to the directions. lo

plug wires but something called ignition coils. i am guessing that these are not supposed to be changed every time a plug change is due. correct - just remove them change the plugs and replace them. they should be good for the life of the engine. how hard is it to do a transmission service i have all the correct tools. i have never done a service on a transmission before but iam not afraid of doing it. easy. messy but easy. since youre already considering it pick up the fsm - it will detail the procedure. its a bit more involved on the 45rfe since theres a seal that coes along with the filter that you have to remove and replace. nothing major though... was wondering if someone could list some good 2wd shocks that will last a little bit longer then 2 years and give me a better ride. someone listed monroe reflex but i have not read any reviews on these. bilsteins edelbrock ias rancho... all good brands and all will be much better than the stock shocks. with as many miles as i have on my truck i dont think they will replace the rotors but turn them and slap on new pads but will the charge me to do this yep - sure will. brakes are only covered for 1yr/12000mi if they charge me can i not just get the rotors turned myself and put the pads on myself yep. if i go this route can someone give me a list of pads that are of as good quality as the mopar pads the heavy-duty pads from napa have always worked great for me. shudder. last question. i have read recently on here something about flashing the computer what are they flashing it for various problems... see http//dodgeram.info/tsb/2003-index.htm for a list of tsbs also would it be worth it to pick up the service manual for the truck so much for that last question yes if you plan on doing any work the fsm is an almost invaluable resource. .

has anybody had this happen....i started up my 04 and went about doing some chores while it warmed up. when i came back the doors were locked. fortunately i had another set of keys available. i just assumed that i hit the lock by mistake when i shut the door. i drove about 100 miles to pick up some farm equipment.....left the truck running while loading and sure enough all doors were locked again when i went to leave. fortunately i had left the other set of keys in my pocket or i would have been stranded. now i am afraid to go anywhere with just one set of keys.... just wondering if this could be caused by the hi-idle feature kicking in and rpms getting high enough to actuate the auto door locks later....... eldon .

on chevys i always used 4 intake manifold bolts. i would use longer bolts than the factory ones and lift from the two either side in front and rear. as long as the heads are torqued down you will not hurt the gaskets by lifting from the heads. i made up four chains years ago for this purpose. each chain has a piece of heavy strap welded to it with a hole in the end to bolt to the engine. what ever you do make sure any bolt you use gets shimed up with washers and drawn down tight against the lifting chain. any side force with a partially extended bolt and it will probably break! greg my 16-yo son and i are in the middle of rebuilding the 360 engine on my 85 ram long story which i wont go into here. we tore most of the engine down with it still installed in the truck; then we discovered that the crankshaft needed to be machined. so we pulled the block. attaching the hoist with the heads off was pretty easy just bolt the hoist down with two of the head bolts on each side and lift it out. so now the crank is machined and back in place with new oversize bearings the pistons in etc etc. were well into the process of reassembly and were thinking that it would be a *whole* lot easier to put the entire engine back together on a stand in the garage and hoist the complete engine into place than to reassemble it a piece at a time with the block already back in the truck. just one problem... where the heck do i attach the engine hoist if the heads are already mounted on the engine i have the original factory service manual what a piece of crap -- far and away the worst-written of the eight or nine such manuals ive owned and all that stupid thing says is attach engine lifting fixture. attach it where i dont want to hang it from the heads for fear of warping them or breaking the gasket seal and im just not too comfy with the idea of suspending a four-hundred-odd pound engine from four 5/16 exhaust manifold bolts which is the best ive been able to figure out so far. anybody have any better ideas tia... -- regards doug miller alphageek at milmac dot com .

i didnt say any republican agencies i said republicans amd kenny starr and newt come to mind. your turn. ken starr was a former federal judge and as such was bi partisan. ken starr also refused to hand down a report condemning clinton based on the testimony he had despite the overwhelming evidence of wrongdoing on the part of clinton. newt who gingrich was merely speaker of the house not an investigator. you forgot fred anderson republican who concluded his bi partisan committee had nothing to find and concluded his investigation without any further action. you failed to mention that linda tripp was a former white house secretary by definition a democrat since thats who she worked for and after all was said and done exhonorated by and compensated by the government for her losses in defending herself. actually it was an illegal tap by that horse faced bitch linda tripp running to kenny who then spent millions of our tax dollars investigating it. wrong. 1 linda tripp was exhonorated. 2 the info tripp had was evidence because monika specifically mentioned the paula jones case and tripp was scheduled to testify in that case. iow it was a cya move by tripp. either way it had nothing to do with the trumped up charges that were proving to be unprovable and that was making the republicans look bad. no better read that again... monika lewinsky asked linda tripp to lie in tripps testimony in the paula jones case. since monika mentioned it it automatically became evidence of possible illegal influence of a witness and certainly had something to do with the case at that point. i never said that it did but neither does bringing it up in the first place. so a quest for the truth is at fault in finding the truth so never look for the truth or well have to cover it up wtf lol they were way past that point by then. oh damn well maybe they were way past the point of lying too no because you made a very clear point. everything that you mentioned above was due to something the president in question did or said while in office. horse shit. kennedy became a catholic at birth. carter was castigated for things he said during the campaign to get into office. lbj was bothered about his actions immediately prior to being sworn in. better go back and read because youll find something else interesting... kennedy was never questioned by the republicans about his involvement with marylin monroe nor was he questioned for putting his brother in as attorney general surely a case of nepotism if ever there was one. kennedy was also not bothered about his involvement with a german born movie star during ww2. the crap with clinton started over the bogus white water claims that allegedly occurred before he took office and had nothing to do with him as a president and was done for no other reason but to discredit the man. but it was done before he got in office and the original investigation centered on a law firm not bill clinton. when that didnt work magically monica appears on the scene and doesnt bother to wash the dress and turns it over for evidence for no crime at all lol. magically damn how does that work i think i need a magically appearing intern around here..... sorry max but the whole thing reeks of setup it doesnt reek of setup at all. it reeks of vast right wing conspiracy bullshit excuses. take it easy max dont blow a fuse. point blank im amazed at how far up your rectal cavity you have shoved your cranium on this. that light you see is the desk lamp shining on your tonsils and reflecting down your esophagus. what was done to clinton was typical republican decent to any depth to win strategy which was actually bested with the last election. huh lol yea because we are already there and cant run away now. bullshit. if there is no purpose bring them home now. to keep them there and send more in says there is a purpose and a need. and the democrats want to reinstate the draft really point me to a non partisan site that confirms this. no problem http//www.factcheck.org/article200.html i do not blame the republicans for clinton lying he brought that on himself. what what i blame them for is making a big deal out of the situation that caused it because they were simply getting desperate and their other mud slinging was failing. hogwash. go back and check the facts. you are done here you dont have enough info to bother posting again. max life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan .

light output drops exponentially not linearly with voltage drop. small voltage drops = large light losses. unfortunately were not talking about drops in voltage. vehicles in service frequently show as low as 11v across the bulbs doubful. eliminating the voltage drop and bringing voltage at the bulb from lets say 12.5 to 14.0 gives us a 47% increase in those lumens you were saying couldnt change. they cant change to more than the bulb was designed to put out assuming proper voltage across the bulb. you claim a 9% drop in voltage to the headlamp circuit. im doubting your findings for three reasons. 1 too much draw by other accessories will cause an amperage drop before a voltage drop occurs 2 voltage while running is considerably higher than 12.5-12.8 which is assumed to be operating voltage 3 having tested my fog lamp circuit numerous times looking for a short i can tell you that the voltage measured at the socket on the front end of the truck always matched the battery voltage. thus the voltage drop you claim is unlikely to affect all vehicles and is more likely a product of individual circumstances not design flaws. iow you have some great marketing hype but no foundation in reality. have a nice day. max life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan .

montanajeeper@aol.com wrote it may or may not change. at this point the only thing sure about the .45gap is that it is new and unproven field proven. well every gun is unproved the first year they are produced as was the 45acp 90 some years ago. while ballistically superior to the .45acp on paper equal on some higher on others in the field it wasnt as reliable for one shot stops. that doesnt add up at all. they are both 45 caliber. a 45 is a 45 is a 45. the gap has slightly higher fpe on most all loads so why wouldnt it perform as well if not better on one shot stops would be very interested in reading about this if you have a cite. every co. is looking at the gap. not true looking at the gap means they may or may not manufacture it. it is true .......... springfield armory is already producing custom orders for the 45gap and their production line xd-45gap is scheduled to be released to the public very soon. when the xd hits the streets you can be sure that ruger and the rest will follow in short order. the 9mm 38 special .357 magnum and the .45acp are readily available handgun rounds but the gap doesnt have the popularity at this time for comparable stock by smaller ammunition sellers. not true .... http//mywebpages.comcast.net/petej/45gap.factory.ammo.htm this may change in the future and i hope it does well my buddy sure likes his. i just dont see the market demand for it i dont see the need for it beyond special application. well most people are biased towards what they already own. i favor the 357 mag as personal defense and own several. imho i think the 357 mag is superior to the 45 caliber for this application but im biased. i recall a few years ago you thought the 40 s&w you owned was the cats meow. personally i dont think it will take 10 years as theguy believes for the gap performance to prove itself but more like 2-3 years i think you will see a big shift for leos to switch over. when that happens sorry to say but the 45acp just may well go the same direction as the old 30-30. jerry .

us is more correct. as to the 40 s&w. that gun was the demise of s&w which is pretty much no longer a player in the market. they completely lost thier law enforcement market to the glock 40. the machining on the third generation was sad. you could get one that was pretty good the next would be complete crap. even on a good one the bushing was too loose. put it on a bench rest and the shots were all over the place. glock stepped in and took over the le market and is now big in the consumer market. there are several departments one a state police that is going to switch completely to the gap. i cant remember which one right now unfortunately but i was talking to the glock rep. about it the other day. again the le reaction to it is very strong. the only thing that has even slowed glock down at all is that some people and some departments have resisted trying to stay with a domestic maker. slowly they are falling. i think the point you are missing is that for all intents and purposes the gap and the acp are the same round. the gap simply allows the gun makers to put the 45 in the hands of a lot more people. the grip size has always been the hit against the 45. even the marksmen that i know that use them would love a smaller grip. with the acp if you get a smaller grip you lose magazine capacity. with the gap you get the smaller grip and higher magazine capacity. glock developed it but all of the makers are excited about it. the 45 is simply the best self defense military and le round out there. the gap gives the makers the ability to get the gun in more hands. it will be supported. it is you may be right but not what i buy. i plink with the cheap stuff and trust my life to the more expensive and hotter +p defensive rounds. i try to do that but i always end up shooting my good stuff. cant help myself. we go out and shoot but when it is time to shoot targets the good stuff comes out. i still bet that if you put 500 rounds through one yous find it begins to fit pretty well. i traded a browning high power for a glock 9mm a few years back. after several thousand rounds i loved the 17 round capacity and hated the angle of the handle. it felt like i had to point down to shoot level. you might look at the third generation if you have a chance. the angle has changed slightly. not only is the .45 gap ammo more expensive but its not nearly as readily available as the acp and only the bigger ammo suppliers will even carry the gap ammo. that is not true. every co. is looking at the gap. not true looking at the gap means they may or may not manufacture it. the 9mm 38 special .357 magnum and the .45acp are readily available handgun rounds but the gap doesnt have the popularity at this time for comparable stock by smaller ammunition sellers. this may change in the future and i hope it does well my buddy sure likes his. i just dont see the market demand for it i dont see the need for it beyond special application. again we will see. i talk to several of the reps and they all tell me that they will be in the gap market. but like you said it might happen and it might not. in the meantime ill own a gap and an acp. . 222 295550 20041226124143.12301.00002627@mb-m28.aol.com any help would be much appreciated. have you contacted him hed be the one to talk to on that. hes usually all over the mopar groups dispensing info. personally i wouldnt buy anything he designed but thats me. max life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan .
