Q: so after several trips to the dealer about some slippage i see in my 47re that is bulted up to a cummins standard output with the same responce it looks good to us and the pressures are ok. now we all know the pressures are too low to begin with. i have looking into valvbody pump and tc upgrades that will solve this issue but i would be much happier with a 5 speed and even happier with an allison. now anyone ever put an allison in a dodge succesfully i would say probably looking at the 1000 series. my best guess is that i would need to modify mounts maybe an addapter plate for the bolt pattern on the engine driveshaft transfercase bolt pattern shifter linkage and who knows about the computer. but and ideas or input will be greatly accepted. thanks everyone. btw it is an 03. .

i do understand that and i am probably going to install the ats 47re. i know it is solid and will do me well. i was thinking about that allison or the ats upgraded allison. its all about the lower first gear i figured if someone had a kit or at least did it before and it wasnt too much an expence it may have been worth it. it cant hurt to explore the options.... thanks for the response. .
