the heater blower on my 94 dakota isnt turning. i suspect the blower motor itself is ok but the speed controller is broken. until winter is over and i can do proper repairs i hope to connect 12v to the motor itself to keep the truck warm. are the green and brown wires on the connector above the passenger foot area the correct two is there anywhere i can find a wiring diagram for the truck online the haynes manual doesnt show anything at all for the heater blower other than a fuse. please email any suggestions warrens@ns.sympatico.ca .

it is a know issue with the gm 3.8 v6. happened to me 400 miles from the house at 63080 miles. cost to replace intake manifold and flush engine $802.00. do a search over at google or at the nhtsa under consumer complaints. there is an aftermarket intake for the gm 3.8 that is supposed to be better than oem at 1/3 the price. greg .

both wheel cylinders have been honed and rebuilt. i checked my brakes about 3 months ago and found my right drum was metal to metal but the left side had more than 50% of the lining left. i replaced the shoes on both sides and 1 drum . shortly after doing this it felt like the right side was applying before the left side. it has now gotten to the point that right wheel is locking up. the brakes have been adjusted 3 times and i know thats not the problem. also the brake pedal is very touchy. i think it has something to do with the abs but im not a mechanic so thats just a guess. does any body have any idea what my problem is thanks in advance for any comments. stuck wheel cylinder on the right side if you jack it up and spin the tires does the right drag more than the left .

there have been several good points made in this thread. i have a 2003 1500 qc 4x4 hemi and it tows a 6000 lb tractor on a 1500 lb trailer fine. it does shift a lot if i put it in od so i drive with the od locked out. i dont pull it very often though. pulling anything lighter like a 2000lb boat and i barely notice its back there. the heat comes up in about 1/2 mile if i let it warm up a couple of minutes. for your use id get the hemi. jmho copper my first post to this group...hoping for some helpful advice. am presently pulling a 8000 lb citation fifth wheel with a 99 dodge ram 1500 5.2 engine...got about 9 mpg last summer get about 17 without the trailer. am looking at the following 2 vehicles; a demo 2003 6 speed 2500 ram with cummings manual shift 2 wheel drive for about $36000 canadian or leasing a new 2004 1500 ram automatic 5.7 hemi automatic 4x4 . am looking for any kind of advice or feedback. i may put 12000 kms annually on the truck its used to go back and forth to work approx 2 miles some casual driving and then family travel. for most outings we have a jetta tdi wagon. what advantages/disadvantages re the cummings vs hemi. service wear and tear on both. basically anything you can think of. thanks...peter ps. just started 5th wheeling last summer and went on a 4000 km trip. my preference would be similar a 3 week trip at roughly the same distance with a couple more short hops throughout the summer. .

how much is a fuel pump for this vehicle anyone got an esitmate how about the expense to have it put in...do you have to drop the fuel tank bb so you think my fuel pump is the culprit no way to check it but put one in right i just paid it off it was a second hand truck and this started... bill if you are sure that it is not getting fuel into the fuel rail when it acts up what the hell does a magnetic pickup in the distributor have to do with that that pickup as you call it is the camshaft position sensor and controls the fuel injection synchronization. this could be the problem with the ops engine and possibly yours but it has no control over the fuel pump itself other to indicate to the pcm to shut it down. if you are sure that you are not getting fuel into the rail and you can hear the pump running then your problem is in the pump itself no if and or butts about it. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving dont feel badi have a 96 doing exactly the same thing. i did notice that i could let it sit and idle all day but once i drove it a certain distance it would mess up just as you describe. yours may not be flooding as mine doesnt get any fuel into the fuel rail when it acts up but the pump can still be heard running when it does this so i bet thats what yours is doing too. i put a new coil on after i was told that was the problem but it wasnt. the voltage to the fuel pump seems good too so im not going to put a $200+ pump in it until absolutely positive. my next try is going to be the magnetic pickup under the distributor for shits & giggles as i have a new one available so well see. im just not in the mood to play with that damn cap/rotor again tough to get at...but i will. hello...i have a 1995 dodge 4x4. recently after a trip down the freeway i turned off and started up a mountain highway and suddenly my truck seemed to lose all power. i pulled off the road and it sat and idled but it was running very badly. if i tried to give it gas it would act as though it was flooding...it would begin to rev up but after it got to a certain point it would run very bad. i called a tow truck and while waiting i started it back up and it seemed to be running normal. i drove back off the mountain and met the tow truck at the freeway. he followed me back home almost 20 miles at which point it did the same again. we put it on his tow truck and he carried me the rest of the way to his shop. when we started the truck to remove it from the tow truck it ran beautifully and hasnt had another episode since...but ive not driven it any farther than about 5 miles from my house. ive searched the google groups for like problems and possible answers...until i came across this group. im hoping someone here can assist me with the problem. i did take the truck to a local repair shop where they let it run almost all day in order to get hot and happen again but it didnt happen and he has no idea what it might be... probably wasnt good for it to sit and run all day im not sure. anyway any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks for any assistance! bill .

my dad is retired now and wants to spend my inheritance on toys. he told me to shop for a utility tractor with a front loader and a back-hoe in the 18-30 hp range. we are looking at kubota and john deere as there are no other brand dealers within reasonable distance from us. does anyone have any experience with this type of small tractor. is the deere that much better than the kubota to justify the 30% price difference do the kubotas hold up under moderate usage any advice appreciated. randy my friend has a kubota 4wd and he uses it for everything landscaping ploughing tilling snowblowing pulling trucks out. as far as i know he hasnt had any probs with it. that being said and if i had the money i would probably go green. parts seem to be more accessible and you cant beat the re-sale. .
