sounds to me like a possible track bar problem. there are several threads about the death wobble and you can goggle them if ya wish. but they all end pretty much the same way you need to do something about the track bar. www.lukeslink.com -- ---------------------------- -chris 05 ctd 06 liberty crd real trucks dont need spark plugs. ive got a friend going bonkers with a steering problem on a 96 2500 diesel 4x4. the truck wanders at highway speeds - especially on two lane roads. if he hits a rut or a defect - the truck follows it even tho the steering wheel position has not changed. think steering behavior like bad ball joints. when he first got the truck it had been in storage. it would make a clunk sound when starting from rest and make another cluck sound when braking to stop. i think something in the front end is loose or worn out. so far the owner has spent several thousand dollars replacing parts trying to eliminate the problem. several mechanics cant find any problem. ive driven the problem 2500 and another 97 2500 - there is no comparison. the 97 2500 tracked a straight line with no problems. its apparent something is wrong with the 96 - but what should the front end be jacked up to test the components because of the weight of the diesel any ideas on how to diagnose this problem .

as the son of a photographer im not sure youre making any sense. may we have a little more detail please supposing the license plate is black letters on white plate. and so the negative is white numbers on a black plate. would that be any harder to read apparantly if you print the image of a b/w negative as it is you will be able to see the numbers. the over exposed white then becomes black and the black letters on the plate become white thus able to see the plate number. cy ive worked with a lot of black and white negatives. sometimes you need a magnifier but you can make out numbers either in negative or positive. however i am reading that a number of these cameras use ir instead of visible light therefore no overexposure flash. cy ir would be ok daytime as dark letters or background absorbs more solar heat. im not sure if it would help any during th enight. alo they have available a plate cover which i think is the best. it makes the plate numbers visible only if you are looking directly straight at the plate from behind. it was featured on csi miami cy that coudl be useful. on the other hand some states have police cars hidden on the side of the road taking pictures of speeders from behine. maybe use both the spray and plate cover cy back to the point you may need a magnifying lens but you dont need to print a negative to be able to read numbers. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. . it does work but the company only needs to reverse the negative to see the numbers on the plate. .

i found a nice 99 dodge 2500 cummins powered automatic trans. 4x4 quad cab with some useful aftermarket stuff airbag rear assist springs pre/post oiler multi type bed mount hitch 105 gal. in bed fuel tank with 120k miles for sale. i remember hearing some bad stories about the dodge automatic transmissions but i dont remember when they got them worked out. my main question is regarding the reliability of the transmission but any suggestions regarding what to look for or beware of are appreciated. for what its worth i have a 99 1500 5.9l 4x4 automatic quad cab that has been very reliable. i have seen some with milage rebuilt. expect to fork out at least $2000 for a rebuild. it depends on the previous owener also if they took care of the truck. my 2000 has hit 105k and i am second owner. the first owner put some after market stuff on it that should give me longer life and better performance on mine. the trans in the 1500 and 2500 are not same. if i am not mistaken dodge now has an option for a 5 speed allison now. you are mistaken. i was going by what a salesman told me. i looked on the lot for one but could not find trent rule #1 always take what a salesman tells you with a grain of salt. they sadly are rarely knowledgeable about the products they sell. mike mike .

my last truck was pretty high mileage. castrol gx or gtx or whatever it was. that was the only brand that quieted the rod knock longer than two or three days after an oil change. please consider a different brand of oil. my favorite mechanic likes quaker state but i didnt have as good a results as i did with castrol. hed had several experiences with people having low oil pressure after an oil change at a valvoline place. hed drain the oil put in quaker state and theyd be good to go. please try castrol. might be the answer. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. .. from dj spirithorsenospam@adelphia.net subject 97 dodge dakota oil pressure drop when warm date wednesday december 06 2006 1230 pm 97 dodge dakota 4x4 5.2l i have been chasing this oil pressure problem around and decided to see what this group thinks. the op is 40+ when started and remains until normal operating temperature is achieved. it then drops down to 20psi or the low range on the gauge but not below the lower limit indicator. when under acceleration or load it sounds like lifter rattle. i replaced the sending unit because the old one wouldnt read the low signal and dropped the gauge to 0psi. new filter and oil 20w-50 florida and still not maintaining the pressure when normal operating temp. i read a post on a web site that explained the thrust bearing was bad which allowed a 1/8 shift in the crank position and after replacing the thrust bearing and i would expect the rest of the mains the oil pressure drop when warm disappeared. i would think that if the thrust bearing was bad that it would have the pressure problem even when the engine was cold or just warming up. i can drive it 45 55 and the pressure still remains at 40+ until it reaches n.o.t. and then drops to the lower range of the gauge 20psi. that makes me think along the lines of a viscosity problem or a pump that has worn impellers. ie. the oil remains thick enough for the pump to work at lower temperatures but as soon as the oil is hot and the viscosity drops the problem surfaces. any comments on your experiences with fixing this problem would be appreciated. remove no spam to email dj .

roy wrote i think that the product is bs. but the law you reference i believe has to do with the dark plastic plate covers. the body part is probably the boot over the plate on the bike. in arizona the law simply states that no device covering the license can be used. it has exceptions for when the license is legally displayed through the back window. photo radar tickets in arizona can be beaten...sorta. the state has 120 days to serve a notice. if you ignore the letter mailed and you can avoid the server tracking you down then the ticket will be dismissed. how about this in california there is a law suit going on. person claims the company issuing tickets are not the police and thus not legally able to issue photo tickets. .

how to beat traffic cameras legally - not! you show a graphic of it being sprayed on maryland and california tags which implies that it is legal in the us. you might want to do some research before you get yourself locked up. or start selling brake pedals instead. id bet they are legal everywhere. georgia code clearly addresses the use of your product. i suspect other states have similar laws. http//www.legis.ga.gov/legis/gacode/data/40-2-6.1.htm i think that the product is bs. but the law you reference i believe has to do with the dark plastic plate covers. the body part is probably the boot over the plate on the bike. if your gonna play you have to expect to pay. it does work but the company only needs to reverse the negative to see the numbers on the plate. roy ken .
