scott wrote hey group. i drive a 92 power ram 150 4x4 with a 318 and auto tranny. today the speedometer work not work at all when i started home. the odometer works fine. what can be wrong i read some have a cable and somthing about a sensor. being that the odometer works but the speed dont i am not sure. thanks in advance scott i went and looked at the wral speed sensor on the rear axle. it was broke at the plug in and just holding the connection. the abs and brake lights are on now. i have read that the sensor controls the speedometer and supplys info to the abs system. i will pick up a new sensor and hopefully everything works fine. scott .

ok to most of you this is no big deal a real simple task. but i replaced my trucks ignition switch by myself without any help. hubby didnt even drop by until the job was already done. i build/repair/upgrade my own computers and thus am somewhat mechanically inclined but this is the first time ive effected an important repair on my truck. it *was* pretty easy actually. whole job took me well less than an hour not bad i think for a newbie. even hubby was impressed not an easy thing to do jmc .

thanks for everyones help! it seems the radio was working fine he just didnt have it tuned properly!! bit of a duh moment for him there! mike simmons wrote if it is a factory radio the code should be in your owners manual. if it is an aftermarket radio i.e. kenwood and such get the make and model and call that manufacture. they are the only ones that would be able to provide you with the code for it unfortunately a dealer cant help with something that is not factory. hi my dad has a 2002 dodge ram 1500; he recently disconnected the battery when working on his truck and since putting it back in we cannot get the radio to work. we have called the person who sold us the truck second hand but he doesnt know either. does anyone have any advice thanks oem radios for your dodge for domestic sale do not have a security code. once the battery is reconnected it should power right up. did you happen to try to jump start the vehicle and connect the cables backwards did you check the fuse there a several fuses for the radio. a power fuse and a memory fuse. if both fuses are ok pull them both and waith five minutes and reconnect them. hope this helps! mike .
