Changing Coolant on 2000 4.7l Dakota

From : scott voth

Q: i was going to change the coolant and hoses on my 2000 4.7 l dakota and cant find where they hid the drain valve. normally id just take to lower radiator hose off to get around this but the hose is on the side in the middle so the radiator wont drain completely. does anyone have a suggestion they sure dont make things easy on these things. scott .

no need to remove the radiator hose theres a drain petcock on the drivers side hard to find but its there. also drain plugs on the block accessible through the wheel well. there is a proper procedure and a specific order to the steps to drain and refill the system however so i would get hold of a service manual and read it first. scott voth wrote i was going to change the coolant and hoses on my 2000 4.7 l dakota and cant find where they hid the drain valve. normally id just take to lower radiator hose off to get around this but the hose is on the side in the middle so the radiator wont drain completely. does anyone have a suggestion they sure dont make things easy on these things. scott .
