is my 2000 included in this group of transmissions i did not get an owners manual with my truck. phyloe has anyone had the same experience i am relatively new to dodge truck. i have a new 04 ram 1500 quad cab with 4200 mile on it that is kept in a heated garage. tuesday i went to work... the truck was out in the weather the temp never got above 5 degrees all day. when driving home the trans mission wouldnt shift into the highest gear until the truck was driven at least 2-3 miles. for a heavy dutytype vehicle i would have thought a little cold wouldnt have effected it. has anyone else experienced this is it a problem that that should be grought to the dealer maybe just leave the truck outdoors to tougen it up ; thanks in advance for your response. jem .

well it looks like hes from chile so his native language is probably spanish. i think anyone that can speak and write a second language should be admired not ridiculed. what you need is a tail light converter like the one shown at this website; http//store.uhaul.com/gzkzg3453oudsxqutkum4mza/productdetails.aspxid=536 it takes the left stop and right stop signals from the truck and changes them to a left turn a right turn and a brake signal for the trailer. jph im right wrote maybe some adult education classes would be more beneficial than trying to hook up break lights or turn lights to your dak and motor house. i have a motorhome and i want to pull it with my dakota but in the dak the break light and the turn light are the same and my mobile house has yellow lights for turning and red ones for break. from were should i take a cable to separate the turning and the breaking signal for your help thanks in advance. chris. .

i have a 1993 dodge dakota with 80000 miles on it. i use this to haul materials for a cabin i am building in southeastern ohio. i live in northeastern ohio. every time i make this trip the engine will briefly cut out or completely lose power when i am cruising along at about 70 mph and going up a long hill. this seems to happen when i further depress the throttle to maintain speed. when this happens if i pull off the road and let off the throttle for about 3-4 seconds the problems clears and off i go again and the problem may not occur again. the computer does not indicate any problem. the engine idles smoothly and except for this stalling seems to run well. is this an injector problem my 95 grand caravan behaved this way when the spark plug wires were bad. had them replaced and it runs great now. hth brigitte .

it sounds more like he is trying to connect two incompatible systems 2 light combined turn / stop to a 4 light individual turn stop and to do that he will need to buy or build an adapter. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving on wed 19 jan 2005 110719 -0300 clt clr@clt.cl wrote my guess is that someone has changed the wires in either the truck or trailer... happens a lot with trailers as each owner does their repairs.. the best way is to buy or make a test light a bulb with 2 wires and have someone use the brake turn lights etc. while youre using the test light to see which wire is for each thing.. the wires on the trailer socket are usually held in by small screws and can be moved to the correct order for the truck.. i allready have a socket in the body lift but the wires doesnt match with my trailers lights and i want to know if the truck has a special socket some were to conect the body lift socket for the trailer. thanks all of you for your help. chris. john kunkel wrote i have a motorhome and i want to pull it with my dakota but in the dak the break light and the turn light are the same and my mobile house has yellow lights for turning and red ones for break. from were should i take a cable to separate the turning and the breaking signal evidently you want to pull a trailer mobile home with your dakota. you can purchase a receptical socket for your dakota that will plug into the rear wire harness of the truck and will accept the elecrical plug from your trailer. the different colored lights at the rear of the trailer will be powered correctly when connected to the truck socket. a dodge dealer will have the socket assembly and so will a trailer supply. mac please remove splinters before emailing .

clt wrote i am tryng to pull a motorhome with a dakota and this motorhome has diferent bulbs and colors for brakes light and turn lights. i dont know the english word for a home that is pulled by a car cou a motorhome should have a motor or not thanks for your help mac. a motor home in america is self powered. in other words it has its own motor/engine for propulsion. apparently you are referring to what we call a travel trailer house trailer or mobil home although mobil home is often used to describe a motor home also. jerry .
