Brake Job - Unexpected
From : Annonymous
Q: hi all i know i read right here in good ole a.a.d.t that when getting a brake job done on a heavy duty truck go ahead and opt for new rotors because it doesnt cost that much more. there is a definite disjoint ... and it could be on my part. however here is the damage brake job from local friendly dodge dealer $150.00 per axle rotors $144.00 each. total cost without new rotors ... $300.00 plus ttl. total cost with new rotors ... $876.00 plus ttl now im not debating whether or not its worth it. im wondering if 1 i misunderstood or 2 the dealer is charging a bit too much. $576.00 hardly qualifies for the statement it doesnt cost that much more. any thoughts craig c. 2004 ram 2500 4wd qc crd .

i called 4 wheel parts. slotted rotor - 134.00 each pads - free with rotors labor - 100.00 per axle total - 736.00 cheaper than the dealer and better rotors. any comments about slotted rotors good ... bad ... no real difference between them and duralast rotors from autozone thanks craig c. .
